Drugs are bad mmmmkay.

I haven't tried or heard anything more about than a few news casts and articles. But really, there are so many people in the world who control their weight WITHOUT drugs or extreme measures (starvation diets, etc). Most people don't need drugs to lose weight; they just need to eat healthy REAL, unprocessed food and move more rather than sitting around watching TV and being on the computer.
Drugs are an easy way out. I wonder what will happen to the people when the get OFF the drug. Will the weight stay off in the long-term? Did the drug help them to learn healthy habits? Will they be able to continue not eating a lot once the appetite supressant is gone?

Well, the newscast mentioned that the drug "has to be used in conjunction with healthy diet and exercise." So if that's truly the case I suppose it would help encourage people to learn these good habits, and it would probably be easier for them to stick with it if the drug helps them see results.

That is true, but pretty much EVERY weight loss drug says somewhere
On the bottle "use in conjunction with diet and exercise"

This drug will cause extreme kidney problems, and if you are a dancer and you drink, stay away from this stuff like the plague. ALL pills, in fact, cause kidney problems...If you love alcohol, or even like, be careful of casually taking anything in pill form, even if its Advil. Its causing damage that won't show up for awhile.
Not saying anyone would casually take this weight loss drug or anything. But, I'm telling you, its bad bad news.
