Which part of the Streamate HD encoder tutorial are you getting stuck on? If you've followed all the steps correctly and it's still not working, you may need to contact support for some targeted troubleshooting.

Hope you're able to get it up soon!

At no point are you supposed to hit the 'connect' button. You should be clicking the big green START button at the bottom.

re: the double video... do you have both "output video" AND "input video" checked, under the video window? You should only have "output video" checked.

Make sure that you have the encoder selected under "Quality" on your streaming/chat page, and then when you hit "Start My Show" on your chat page a box will pop up with two links for you to copy/paste into your encoder before you can hit the big "Start" button on the encoder. I constantly forget to select my encoder under the Quality setting, because SM used to save my settings and now it doesn't. This is the bane of me when I'm dead tired and trying to cam =\

    check your comp specs.

    Requirements

To broadcast in HD with high quality audio and video, you will need the following:
    - Mac or PC with an i5 (i7 recommended) processor*
    - Your cam will need to be able to stream at 640x480*
    - An internet connection with sufficient bandwidth (Please take the speed test)
*If you do not meet these requirements or if you need upgrading advice, contact our support: [email protected].

did you click the green START button at the bottom of the encoder window *after* clicking the connect button? As Jessica described above???

If you ask me it's a pretty damn retarded piece of software... I'm not sure if my screen being rather small is an excuse for me to have to click "maximize window" icon every time I start it up for the damn green button to even appear.

Hmm, thanks I guess, I usually hit both connect + start and it's working fine for me; guess I need to try to forgo the connect button (and maybe save a couple milliseconds next time )

What probably happened is you cleared your cookies and cache, which took away the setting you had saved. Just go to the settings and change it.

On another note, does anyone have any suggestions to get the encoder working better on a low mid range laptop? Mine is lagging so horribly. I just want to get gold shows so I can try them.
