    Default Dancers Showplace Indy

I recently went to Indy and visited one of my buddies at her club. I hadn't worked with her in 6 months so I was asking her how she liked her club an what the fees are, etc. She painted a rosier picture than my "current" club, so now I'm serioiusly thinking of joining her at Dancers when I get off of my maternity leave in February.

I don't want to drive further to make the same amount of money. I was driving 1hr to West Terre Haute to Club Coyote a mandatory 3 nights a week 9p-3a (earliest I could leave, if it was busy we had to stay until they closed). Since the smoking ban kicked in, I've been lucky to make $150 a night. Paying $20 tip out and $5 from each $20 VIP going to house. Dancers would be 1hr 20min drive. And from what my friend told me I could work as much or as little as I want. $10-$30 tip out (depending on when I start a shift). Keep all from $20 Vip and I think a 75%-25% split between me and house for Champange room.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has had good experiences here. Or if there are any horror stories out there. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

I haven't actually worked here yet, but it is my goal (I'm still a little sensitive about my midsection and don't know if I could handle being turned away because of it). I've heard from multiple people - dancers and customers - that Dancer's is the best club in Indy. But because of it, they are stringent on hiring standards, and there's some sort of "probation" period where you have to work a certain number of days a week in the beginning. I was also told by a customer that all the dancers there do amazing pole work - but I don't know how true it is or if it's actually a "requirement" that you be able to do pole work there... You'd have to ask your friend. It is a similar distance drive for me, and I would be willing to do it. I think you would definitely make more than $150/night there, especially since it is right by the airport.

I think their amateur night is the first Wednesday of every month, and I've been told by some that they are usually willing to hire the top 3 winners, but then again, I've been told by others that they won and were never offered a job - but it's not like they asked either... So, idk, that might be something worth checking out.

I may need to save some money up and just make a few more trips out there. That way I can see how busy it is on different days and seasons. Maybe talk to a couple other girls about how they view the club.

When I went in most of the girls weren't doing pole work, but it wasn't very busy and I know I won't do pole work unless I need to catch people's attention. And with your mid-section worries, a LOT of the girls in there wear corsets and girdles, they just pull their boobs out then tuck em back in lol. If my sit ups don't work, I may be doing that too. Hopefully the probation period isn't that long, but I'll be needing cash at that point anyway so I shouldn't mind it. I should actually keep more money too the way the house fees are set up. Plus, if I had a bad night, I would just end up getting wasted with my regulars instead of getting dances since I HAD to stay until close (because I'm an idiot when I'm depressed). Being next to the airport would just about guarantee that I wouldn't get regulars, so that could be good for me.

I can only hope for the best tho, I've been hearing that the club I'm on leave from is allowing girls to do extras and there is drama with management. It kind of sucks because I got along really well with my boss there and she worked with me on making my dancing schedule work around my daytime job and drive out there. I just don't want to be in that enviroment if I can avoid it.

Called and they said they were hiring, so I drove myself the 1 1/2 hours out there. Warning: If you don not live in Indiana they will not even let you fill out an application.

My friend that works there couldn't make it in to work. In 2 1/2 hours none of the available girls even talked to us, so the whole trip was a bust

Sorry you had a bad experience there! I have never lived in Indy and I work at dancers. I also know many other girls working there commute about and hour each way. is this a new hiring policy?

I don't know if it's a new policy. It was the manager with the dreads that told me about it. When we got there I asked if I could fill out an application and possibly audition. He said, "Sure first thing I need is your ID" So I handed it to him and when he saw it was an IL license he said, "Did you just move to IN? If so you'll need to get a new ID before you can try out. We only hire locally." I was soooo disappointed because I live literally 1 mile across the state line, just off 74. Confused me too since Sapphire (a traveling dancer I've worked with) was there the last time I had gone in and she lives in the same town as me. I hope that really is the reason I couldn't audition, because if it was my looks, I would have prefered he just said so.

I don't know if the lack of attention was because it was a Monday or what though. Tipping onstage didn't even get anyone to come to us. I know someone would have sat with us if we asked, but considering there were only 6 other customers in the club I refused to ask.

Actually, to be fair, one girl did come to us. As my BF was finishing his beer, she came over and flopped into the chair with her legs over the arm and said, "Hi guys. How are you?" We said we were alright. She says, "Are you getting ready to go?" I said, "Ya, soon as he finishes his beer." She's like, "OK, well have a good night then." O.o
