    Default Booty and Income

    Hi Ladies!
    I'm a fairly inexperienced dancer , I've worked off and on for the past year. When I first started dancing in Atlanta, I made decent money at the weight I am now.

    I have always been thick.... but When I was dancing in the DMV however, I had gained about 35 lbs, so I was SUPER thick in my hips and ass, because that's where my weight goes when I gain it. The money was great because I work at strictly urban clubs and most customers loved my body.

    However, over the summer, I wasn't dancing at all in DC or Atlanta, and I unexpectedly lost about 30 lbs. I didn't TRY to lose it, I didn't eat anything special nor did I even exercise on a regular basis... Now the skin on my ass and thighs, which used to be cellulite free, looks like close to cottage cheese. And I feel like it's because It lost fat so quickly.
    I'm very self conscious about it and I am about to start back dancing soon and I'm afraid the weight change, along with my skin will affect my money negatively....


    Have any of you ever experienced this or something similar?
    How did you handle the changes or what did you do to fix the problem?

    Only one of the links seems to be working... but if all your weight goes to your hips and butt, why not just try to gain weight? Much more enjoyable than trying to lose weight lol so consider yourself lucky that your weight goes where you want it to go.

    Yeah the other picture wouldn't upload... but the problem is I'm not sure HOW to gain the weight back, I've been eating EVERYTHING but nothing's working... maybe there's something wrong

    I have a friend who's *maybe* 100 lbs and she drinks Ensures to try to get and keep her weight up. That might help. If you lost weight all of a sudden and have no idea why tho maybe you should go to the dr... =/

    The cottage cheese look is probably because you don't have a ton of muscle there. Squats, jogging, kick backs, etc will all build up your butt muscles and replace the cottage cheese look.


    If you do a ton of squats (start with 50 in the morning, 50 before bed or do more if your thighs don't start to burn) you'll notice a change in your butt in a week and that will be a permanent change rather than a temporary change like gaining weight will give you.

    i took 14 weeks to lose about 70 pounds , I experienced exactly what you are going through. I started doing toning circuit training 5 times a day

    FYI for some people muscle will actually make cellulite worse. Im one of those people. Muscle fibres are in bundles so if you have little fat between the muscle and shitty connective tissue your still gonna have ripples. Also muscle will push the fat further through the connective tissue again making cellulite worse. The only way to have no cellulite is better connective tissue. Having less fat will help but in reality deep tissue massage, dry brushing or needling to increase collagen production, supplements/healthy diet and water will help make the connective tissue more supple, thermage or endermology. Using all these things in combination will help decrease it but you still may have some. Also I find the birth control pill makes mine significantly worse. Hormones effect tissue elasticity.

    my weight goes to my ass and hips as well, a big bubble in the back not much hips (while my upper body looks almost too thin). genetics is a large factor in whether you get cellulite but to keep my butt bigger i do lots of butt exercises and drink ensure and half a cup of olive or flax seed oil before going to bed. nuts have a lot of healthy fat, avacado, soy milk, peanut butter..good healthy fats, lots of water too will keep circulation going !

    You drink the olive oil or flax seed oil straight??

    ^flickdreams all this stuff is on the cellulite threads on here. granted everyone says different things work but I've found the best for me is having a combination of several things and never giving up. If I stop one thing it will get worse. You have to think about fighting cellulite like fighting age, acne or weight gain. It's not something you can just stop when you see a result.

    haha yes i do, i chase it with a juice or something. disgusting sounding i know but it seems to help. drizzling it on a salad or adding it in other ways is good too.

    Interesting. I'll never forget seeing this one dancer who had a ripped body like a figure fitness model, yet had the WORST cellulite on her ass that I have ever seen on someone. Like deep bullet wounds. It was so odd. Made no sense to me.

    You're brave. I mix my flax in juice. I take "Nopalina" brand powder flax before going to bed... makes you poop everything out next morning. Making the belly look flat too.
