    Default Working close to home?

There's a strip bar (not fully nude) hiring, and it's only like 2 miles away from home. I am living with family right now, in my hometown, and it kind of worries me they might find out. But my brother doesn't seem aware of the place, since I ask where does everyone go for fun, and he mention all popular bars.

I know I'm running a risk of someone finding me out, especially the weekends. But I don't know, it's more of a bar than a club... small fancy place. I think only older men go here.

and the other strip club is like 20+ miles away, and I'll be stuck until 6 a.m. till the bus services run since I don't have a car.

Are you living with your parents and hoping to hide dancing from them? Good luck. Whether you'll be working close or far, it's going to be extremely difficult to hide. If it's something your parents would 100% not approve of and they're supporting you, I would just recommend waiting until you can move out to dance. Otherwise, you're kind of asking for trouble when they find out, because they inevitably will if you're dancing often or for a substantial amount of time.

Like logistically speaking, where will you keep all your dancer things so they don't come across them? How will you account for going out with a big bag a couple of nights a week? What will you say when they ask about where you're working or how you have money? How about when they ask for the name of your place of employment or want to come visit? I have hid dancing from my parents for the past three years and I've never lived with them or even in the same city as them while dancing, and it's still proven to be a challenge. There have been close calls. There's no way I would've managed while living under their roof.

Whatever you decide to do, I hope it works out for you. Of course the odds are good that someone you know will come into your local strip club, but if the next one is 20+ miles away, you can bet people you may know go to it as well. There's no foolproof way of dancing without getting found out. Working day shifts and less busy shifts can be a good way to minimize that risk since young kids usually go out on weekends/at night. As an added bonus, then you wouldn't be keeping odd hours that would make your parents suspicious.

Not really living with my parents, just a brother/step dad really. He owes me money anyways(tons) so he minds his own business. I live by myself for a yr, I just didn't want to pay rent until I get a job. It's not at all like, "oh what you up too?" kind of thing. My mother does that, but she doesn't live with us, step dad is cool. I do have money, from working in the past, like 8 k in the bank right now. It's not from stripping.

I plan on working for less than 3 months.

I am pretty much left to myself. I'm trying to kill time until I move out again to a big strip club in NY. Or else I'll be bored lol, doing college at the moment, but the classes are easy. Tons of free time.

No one is hiring at normal jobs either lol...

Ah, gotcha! That shouldn't be too tricky to accomplish then. In any case, give that local club a chance. If there's good money there then sweet. If not, then worry about getting to and from the other one. Would cabbing home be outrageous?

You could attempt to car-pool with girls from the farther club if any live near you... Or the gym thing is a decent idea, in my opinion though it is hell trying to dance without a car but I've done it and it was easiest when I was working at clubs super near to where I was living at. Also, as far as being found out by local peers, I work at a club about 20 min from where I went to high school and have only seen one customer (a female) that I graduated with, whereas my two friends who live and went to school about an hour away have run into tons of guys they graduated with, so you never know how that's gonna work out...

Another thing is, aside from your stepdad and brother, anyone else coming in who'd recognize you would probably be more embarrassed than you. You're young and hot, they're old and married - you win! The majority of guys would never admit to seeing you there, because that means THEY were there.

I have been lucky enough to have never really run into anyone in the club for the past few years I've been working there. I have seen like maybe 3 or 4 people that I knew from other jobs or school but it really wasn't a big deal and it was kind of just like "Surprise! I work here now, everything is fine with me hope you're doing well byeeeeeeeee" A little awkward, sure, but no one really seemed to care. I say give it a shot and I think you should start at the one closer to your house....if you end up liking it a lot, you'll have a very short cab ride home at the end of the night rather than a long expensive one!

I've lived with my dad while stripping at a local club in the past. I always went out a lot anyway, late night skate sessions and gigs, so it never aroused suspicion to see me going out the door with a backpack. It was only for a short time and earned me the money i needed so you shouldn't have a problem.
