Default National Geographic covers "muscle worship"

National Geographic covers "muscle worship" on Taboo. Yes, how some make their $$$ in the female bbing community...

Personally, it's between two consenting adults, so none of my business. NG only a few decades + from discovering anything per se, but the show Taboo covers some interesting topics, and seems to do so in a balanced non judgmental way for the most part.

In the community, the guys with this fetish are known as "schmoes."

I'm pretty familiar with this fetish, with bodybuilding being in my past. Unfortunately when I was competing I was approached to take pics many times & they would find out where I trained, call & offer to fly me out somewhere. Guys are fucked up....

You won't get any arguments from me there. On the show, I thought they did a decent job of it as they do for most topics considering it's mainstream television. Honestly thought that fetish had come and gone a long time ago. Guess I'm out of the loop. Does it help the image of female bbing? Nope. But, there's nothing female bbers can do really regarding general public perception regardless, and I thought their interviews with the therapists quite good regarding their breaking societies expectations of women, and so forth and attempting to examine why some men enjoy it.

It was not a hit piece to simply make female bbers look bad (although that's how many will interpret it to be sure) and they were clear it's unknown how common it is. The women however will justify their doing it by saying it's the norm and most offer sex too, etc. and that has to be taken with a grain O salt. Within a segment of the female bbing community, it's common. Overall, my experience says it's not. No idea what % overall that would be.

Me, I'd give the segment over a B+, but human beings are judgmental and small minded, and this segment sure wont help how people view women with muscles.

The G4P thing with male bbers, is a whole other topic...

I'm always interested in female body builders, just because it's so foreign to me, though the only males I know that work out I meet in the club. I guess it makes sense though, since most competitions don't pay much, if anything, and it takes so much time away from a normal job.
