    Default kombucha

bought a kombucha beverage and i dig the taste. can somone explain to me the supposed health benifits? I do research and get a million infomercial esque sites touting it for blah blah blah. So i am hoping someone on here is more knowlegeable and can tell me more about it in simple terms without the phrase "but wait! there's more!"
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

Fermented Tea. In a country where water can be suspected the little bit of alcohol kills pathogens.

I found I get a pretty good energy rush after drinking it, but other than that I wouldn't put much faith in it's alleged magic abilities to prevent cancer and "revitalize the mind and body."

I drink it for it's purported probiotic benefits. Helps with healthy gut flora balance, etc. Kind of like apple cider vinegar (which I love mixed with cranberry juice), except more potent. Definitely an acquired taste. The last bottle I had was GT's Multi Green and not only did it look grody, but it smelled exactly like what it was. :/ Put me off. Other flavors are pretty good though.

When I was able to afford it, I drank 1/2-1 bottle a day. This lasted about 3 months. I noticed an increase in energy as well as clear and more glowing skin. My nails also grew out faster, as I needed an acrylic fill after 9 days of my f. manicure. I just let my natural nails grow out soon after They were so healthy and strong. I wish I can have a refrigerator full of it!
