    Default The Impeccable Self-Care Club

    Hi girlies,

I thought I was bigger than this but let's face it. I'm horrified of getting old. Mainly because you lose your looks and this is the job I have to do. I'm not totally present focused so I know I'll look back with regret about not having had a perfect mindful youth. For example I just had too glasses of wine and I'm feening for more because I wasn't mindfully drinking. If I had savored each sip then I would be coasting on the buzz.

My hope is longevity. If I always look younger than I am then I was just live a less than perfect life for a long time. Of course I haven't given up on mindful living completely, but life's not perfect not even when you're a kid. I know how to let the thoughts drop, thoughts of people trying to player hate on my goals and force me to do something else. But I'm working on it.

Anyway at the end of the day I have to take care of my appearance. This industry is all about looks. So I'm ready to get started.

    Goals:

    -To get down to 115
    -To quit smoking
    -To get rid of blemishes
-To maybe do something about my boobs

Does anyone want to join me? I'm 29. You can post your age and goals. We can support each other along the road in life and make sure we're the best us we can be.

Even thou I still get the....'you're not old, there's life in you yet blah blah blah' bull crap - I actually do feel a little old ish. It doesn't help that my best friends are all like 22 with a few a similar age to me. Facially I feel I looked worse at 20-22, then like 23-25 I looked healthy and fresh and now I feel myself going yucky again. I don't know why exactly.

I hear ya on the 'getting on' Craic....so:

I'm 26 and for my body, my health and my future....

*I want to get down to 115-120 in weight
*I want to also quit smoking for many reasons one of which includes wanting to start a family soon
*I want to be able to comfortably, effortlessly consumer a litre+ water a day without it being a task
*I want to remember to take my vitamins and not get bored (its not like its difficult!!)
*I want to maintain a fitness level (non weight related) that allows me to enjoy sports and not get knackered
*And for my youth also, I want to gain a healthy enjoyable and not too crazy social life (now I don't work ITC anymore) and regain those years of spending genuine time with friends that I lost because of stripping.

I'll join. I'm 25 and I can start seeing changes in my body. I think my metabolism is starting to slow down, but for me, that's a good thing. I've struggled all my life trying to gain weight. I just want to make sure the weight I gain will come from healthy fats and quality proteins from lean meats, oily fish, and vegetables.

What I want to accomplish by the end of 2012:

    1) Start a cleaner diet. Eliminate ALL processed foods. I also want to challenge my culinary skills by cooking at least two meals a day.
    2) Drop my vice.
    3) Gain 8 lbs by eating clean and building lean muscle.
    4) remove a small tattoo
    5) Invest in an at home microdermabrasion machine. Maybe Nu Brilliance. <<SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS!
    6) Start practicing yoga again
    7) Start meditating on a daily basis

I think it's important to reward yourself after successfully accomplishing your goals. I will be rewarding myself after accomplishing #1 and #2 with a new Louis Vuitton purse.

I'm 30. I look better than I've ever looked but that's not down to age, it's down to less alcohol , less stress and actually caring for myself more lately. When I was younger I was chubbier (alcohol and lack of exercise) and not as well-presented (I didn't care enough or have enough money).
    I want to;
Lose about half a stone (I don't want to be skinny, but I know weight loss will be harder as I get older).
Cut down on alcohol ( I still get drunk at least twice a week. I should make that once)!
Quit smoking totally (I have quit more or less but have the odd one).
Care for my skin better, probably invest in some better products.
Get a breast augmentation (that can wait)!
    good thread!

I'm 26, but I look 18 (in my face)- I have wide hips and a birthing-type of body, so weight has always been an issue for me. When thin, I look curvy- when heavy, I look like I'm pregnant. No bueno.

    Goals:
    1. QUIT SMOKING!! (have quit off and on, but smoking fetishes get me every time)
    2. remember to eat more than once a day (so bogged down with school and the late camming hours that it'll get to 10pm and I'm like "crap! I haven't eaten at all today!")
    3. Drink a TON of water!
    4. Somehow make working out a part of my daily life (and find a workout regimen that won't bore me to death AND that will actually WORK)

    I'm 23, but I feel like I'm 40 sometimes. I want to:

-I'm 5'5, I'd like to be 115-120. 118 seems like a good balance. Currently at 126 (want to lose almost 4 kilos, a bit over half a stone).
-Chemical peels for my acne scars. Derm appt on the 11th to talk about my options.
-Grow out my (awful) bleach. Currently have chin length hair with 1.75 inches (about 3 centimetres) of dirty blonde roots.
-Get braces. Changed my date for getting braces put on from November to January so that I could make my downpayment with my HSA. I'm really scared since I have to get a tooth pulled and I'm needle phobic. >.<
-Find a sunscreen that doesn't break me out.

Chemical peels never did much for my scars. I did arou d 6 sessions of microdermabrasion each a month apart. I had to shop around for ladies at spas or skin places that used stronger settings on the machine and who were willing to make the settings stronger. Just say you have a strong tolerance for pain. So the. You can get more skin off for your money. Light polish peels don't do
much. Need to go strong. Remember wear ton of sunscreen and hats to make sure the new smooth skin growing on looks good. And eat healthy fats

Oh, I take excellent care of my skin! I'm extremely fair, so I always wear sunscreen and/or hats. My scars are really just discoloration, with a few that are bumpy. With makeup, they aren't noticable, but I just want my skin to look fantastic without makeup. After all, I'm 23! I should be lookin' fab!

I use Retin-a micro currently, and my derm has suggested peels for me. She said with 2-3, my scars should be completely gone. I've also been looking into laser techniques, but she said that chemical peels are preferred since I have active adult acne.

    What a fantastic post!

I think I've been wrinkle-phobic since I was 10. In fact, I've always been very conscious of body asthetics in general - weight, skin care, hair, nails, all of it. I'm 33 now and started getting botox at 24 as a preventative measure in my forehead. Once I hit 30 I had to start doing it around the eyes as well and I'm always so greatful I started young. I use retin-a religiously, do microdermabrasion 4x per year, use crazy expensive Vit C serums, and did a V-Peel once. Ultimately, anti-aging is about consistancy in your routines. Sunscreen, vitamins, fruits and vegetables (I'm a kale maniac), juicing, and working out. We are so lucky these days also to have lasers too, which have been revolutionary in everything from scars to surgery to resurfacing.

I'd like to add that personal outlook is very important. If you are a negative person, it shows on your face and in your health, trust me. Happy people naturally shine at the eyes and have upturned lips, and those things are always remininscent of youth, even if you are 95. Stress is so ageing. Look at our presidents who do two terms, for example. Look at Clinton before after his term. He aged 20 years in the 8 he held presidency because it's such a stressful job. I've known a woman who aged 10 in the one year after her father died because her grief was so intense. She was in her 40's and ended up getting a facelift to correct what had been done by her sadness. Try your best to be happy, it's the greatest gift to your anti-aging and health program you can every have.

I want to lose weight for my health(diabetes), which I'm already doing
Stick to an exercise regimen and add yoga to it
    Take up boxing
Stick with my skin care regimen because sometimes I get lazy about it
Get my hair stronger( diabetes wrecks havoc on your hair)
    Grow my nails
Get a tummy tuck and all this extra skin removed once I lose all my weight b/c I'm starting to look like melting wax

I look younger than I am but I think it's because looking younger runs in my family. My mother is 67 and her doctor can't believe it. She told her that she looks 20 yrs younger. I guess that's why so many young guys hit on her lol

I'd love to join! I'm 27 going on 28, I get told I can pass for 21 all the time.
My goals are to lose 80lbs and get a BL (breast lift) also, I have stretch marks everywhere and would eventually want them removed if possible. I haven't had any children though it looks like I have. I'll also want a tummy tuck after the weight loss...with an "invisible scar" and possibly some fat injections in certain places haha.
I'll be getting jaw reconstruction surgery which will also help my look. It's one of the most painful surgeries to recover from, but I'm looking forward to it.
I'd also like to keep a consistent work out schedule/regimen, working out about 5-6 days a week and eat a lot healthier. I'm hoping this adderall I've been ignoring in my cubboad will help speed up the weight loss process. I was a skinny kid and pre-teen but after changing life events I put on weight and I'm trying to be the person I was born to be.

    Luv this!
I want a boob job! To eat better, more organic foods. Stress less. I just found my Redermic after months of it being misplaced (retin, although this one's vit. C) Is prescription retinol better? Never had a weight prob. other than too thin, but need to tone, which brings me to, join a health club, with a POOL!

    Exciting thread!
Alright, 23 years old. Happy with my body and hair.

Perfect a preventive and corrective skincare regime:
Moisturizing, sunscreen, weekly masks, and get microdermabrasion/peels professionally done.

Exercise to improve Strength, Stamina and Flexibility. Try juicing.

Start saving for: Veneers , slight nose refinement and BA. I love my boobs so I want "more" of them to love! I'm all about balance. A slightly altered nosey and teef would balance out my face wonderfully. Not personal necessities, more of "sprinkles on top of the cupcake- Do it because I can." (Squealing with joy at the excitement of it all!)
