    Arrow Irritated/allergy eyelid

Ok so I had a tiny bump on my left eyelid over a month ago..figured it was a bug bite. Now it seems like it's chronically itchy, no bump, just dry, a lil' scaly feeling but nothing showing. I sometimes put a tiny amount of Benedryl topical on it (for the itch), or aloe I'm just concerned makeup will irritate/make it itch more..haven't been wearing any but I plan to dance again soon so

I had this. Mine is scaly, never a bump. I went to 3 dermatologists and one prescribed a steriod it didn't work. The ;last one I went to said leave it alone don't wear any make up and I did some research and found aloe and neem cream worked. It's back again, only went away for7 weeks ( I don't understand it because both bouts I haven't worn makeup for almost 2 months) any how just put aloe on in the morning and neem at night. She also recommended vasoline but I never tried it as the aloe and neem worked. I started a thread too " scally, flackiness on eyelids if you want to read...

O thanks so much, Michelle I just love your posts! I sometimes use a vitamin e stick, Renova brand 3.99 @ Ulta..not too greasy, I always use on my lips, cuticles, & sometimes under eyes to moisturize..I can't find it around the house right now. I am going to get that neem, I had an Indian college prof. that talked about it, some time ago
Did the Dr. say what it was from?

^ It's from the leaf of the plant I believe. I found a site were women had it and used different things and the neem caught my eye. I went on amazon and there were two popular brands I got the theraneem original creme ( vanilla) there was another one but it was twice the price and there was an ingredient in it I didn't like. The only thing is if you put it on a bedtime the smell can keep you up because it smells like a vanilla cake, yum. I alternated that with the aloe. I;m leaving in a few days to work so I hope it's gone by then because I'll be wearing makeup every night. I better go put some on it's burning. Let me know how it works.

I meant did you find out what caused this to happen to your eye? Also, this sounds weird, but I have allergy eyedrops, I put a bit on my eyelid, they're strong, so it stung a bit but helped with itching. Another weird thing that helped, putting a cold can to my eye, or a bit of cold water

No no one new. The one derm said it was blepharitis but it's not. It seems like the aloe isn't doing much for me this time. ugh it better go soon I gotta work wednesday, I've been off almost 2 months. Mine burns but doesn't itch. Yeah I was experimenting with all kinds of things too so I'm not sure what helped the best. I also put elizabeth arden miracle cream on it too.

You know, aloe gel can be irritating, to a sensitive area..I myself use retinol, but not on my eye area. I would suggest using the vitamin e stick I mentioned, it's kinda soothing. I also used Simple brand, a dab of the face lotion, & it seemed help. Is the Liz Arden perfumed? I know it contains a vaseoline type thing in it, maybe not so good for eye area?

If its painful at all it could be a stye...You can get some prescription bacitracin for the eye from an optometrist and take vitamin A everyday...That seems to help with any eye problems...MAke sure ur eye makeup isnt too old as well..That can cause issues too..

No it's not a stye. It's just skaly. The elizabeth areden probably does contain perfume it has a strong medicinal smell. I think that stuff helps a lot of dry skin conditions. I'm going to just keep puting what I did last time. I only wear makeup when I work. My eyeshadow is older but it's discontinued and they don't make it anymore but I can still find it on ebay and stuff.

Milani. It's the small single shadows they discontinued. called blue ice. One it's gone I'm going to be very upset since I cannot find a color exact to it and others I've tried don't look as good.

ah, well if I see it I'm gonna get it for you..check out dollar stores, they seem to have discontinued stuff. My mom used to use Maybelline cake mascara, I got some for her there. You know someone actually wrote the co. Maybeline & said they'd commit suicide if they couldn't get, & May. sent them some, wtf.

Yeah they always dicontinue everything I like! Years ago I wore the original vanilla from the body shop( I swear I made so much money because guys would get dances just to smell me even girls would smell me all night) and I got it in canada and theuk until it got discontinued there. They have websites dedicated to bringing it back and I called corporate and she said they get 100s of calls daily. I don't get why they wouldn't??
