    Default Art in a stripclub?

Hard to pull off, but it can happen. Has it happened to you? And what will it take to have it happen more often?

From what I've seen, it depends far more on the girl onstage than anything else. If she wants to move in a truly unique and creative style, there will be nothing that can stop her. Guys tipping help of course, but that is not vital to the equation. The right song for the right girl for the right moment.

Sucks that it doesn't happen more often...

People would describe me as an "artist" in reference to my stage shows. I remember there was this period when I refused to take off my clothes on stage, and there was actually no incentive for me to get naked on stage because there really wasn't a huge difference in my stage tips. Customers were generally so impressed with how artsy and totally different my stage was that me being naked "didn't matter"

There were also two girls I used to do doubles with. The first was a pole dancer who's style was very similar to mine, and we would do sychronized pole dancing. It was awesome! The second girl was more of a lyrical dancer who totally rivaled me when it came to anything that wasn't pole oriented and we eventually combined our forces to create magic

I feel like I live for dancing, and I love making song come to life! Since I moved out here I literally feel like my soul is dying.

*shrugs* this all probably sounds like some crazy fabrication though, lmao. Maybe I should add that sure, my stages were amazing but I couldn't sell a lapdance to save my life!

Since you moved out where? Maryland?

I know very well you are not fabricating this, because I have seen it with my own eyes. And I was an artist before I was ever a DJ.

I can always tell when a woman has had a dance background, there is always something in their performance.

And yeah it doesn't fucking matter if the girls take their clothes off or not, when they dance this well. I stopped caring about that many years ago anyway; I look for the eroticism instead. If it's not there I don't care to watch. If it is there I don't care whether there are tiny scraps of fabric covering their naughty bits or not.

It depends on my mood. And usually, after going on a long break, it takes a few days of working before my body warms up enough to move the way i want it to, ideally. I love it when customers tell me, "I love that you actually DANCE up there!"

For a while, I offered customers the option to get their portraits done in ink for only $10. It took about 5-10 minutes per portrait... not as monetarily worthwhile as selling dances, but it was a TON of fun, and we had some good laughs while it lasted.

I come from a dance background (many years of training)and tried to incorporate this in my dancing. Some clubs back then encouraged this from dancers to be more artistic so I would get on stage and choreograph it. For example I often did a tap routine to Putting On The Ritz. Of course this could hurt money as well because some customers wanted to see gyrating more than anything else. The most important thing though with this is knowing the club it is. If other dancers are actually dancing it can work but if they are just bumping and grinding not so much.

One club I worked at in Hammond Indiana (long defunct due to the death of the owner and now part of the library)hired based on how well you danced along with how you looked. His idea was to create a type of Flashdance club. Sadly though it didn't last long and ended up becoming closed.
