Default BA results- how much control does the surgeon have?

So I am thinking about getting my boobs done, and am going to go to some consultations in the next couple weeks.

Now, I know that it is important to choose a surgeon with a good reputation and that I feel comfortable with. I'm not looking for justification to go with the cheapest place I can find.

But when it comes to achieving a certain look, how much control does the doctor have over this and how much is limited to what your body already looks like?

For example, the space in between the breasts. Does the doctor have control over how much space there is? What about the shape? My friend's boobs are kind of pointy, and then I've seen other girls whose look much rounder. Are these things that are predetermined by what's there already?

Also, when it comes to certain issues post BA (rippling, capsular contractions, muscle flexion distortion), how much can the surgeon help and how much is based on my body or left to chance? I know that with rippling the type of implant and the amount of tissue I have can affect this. Really, my major worry is the muscle flexion distortion. I know it's normal for the implant to move when you flex, I'm talking about something serious like this.

Obviously these are concerns I am going to bring up with the doctor, but I wanted to ask them on here first. I don't want to be sold on this by someone making unrealistic promises to me.

Ask these questions when you get your consults. You said you love my boobs? Are you going to my doctor? Kim just had hers done by him and loves them. It took her a while because she said they look to real but she said everyone thinks their real now at work. He has 35 years experince. Also you've seen mine I have no ripiling and they're almost 13. I've never seen anyone with salines that didn't ripple a bit when bending over.

Also after reading your whole post. It does depend on what your boobs look like before but some surgeons have one dimensional boobs, meaning I can tell when I see a pair of diacos or harells or radamakers. I saw some befores in mglaughlins book I couldn't believe the afters because the girls didn't have good shape to begin with. It's best to get lots of consults ( I got aroind 10) and got my nose done. I stuck with mglaughlin for boobs because hisbook looked the best all across the board.

Thanks for your input. Yes I do love your boobs, your doctor was one of the ones I've been looking at! Haha. I know some people like the fake look, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that but for myself I think want a more natural look. And yeah, I do plan on getting consultations from more than one doctor.

Go to Luria too! He was the other doctor I was looking at about fixing the bottoming out. He also was head of the board of plastic surgeons in tampa like mcglaughlin and he's been around as long. He also did tons of girls from the doll house. I like his look but like mglaughlins a little better. I still haven't seem kims as she went off to key west and I'm headed elsewhere. I want to see what the high profiles look like. She said they look really real and luria uses them too, so I don't know maybe I'll go with them. There's a doctor in orlando that does good work too I knowngirls from mons who went to him. Eisenberg. Not sure if he's still arould but he does good work but I think back then he only did in front of the muscle.

To answer your specific question ... every plastic surgeon has some, but not total, control of likely BA results. Obviously the first measure of control is implant placement ... overs versus traditional unders versus total unders. Next is choice of implant 'profile' i.e. height / width to forward projection. Next is saline versus silicone. And finally, choice of implant size.

For better or worse, there are certain plastic surgeons who will only use one method of implant placement, who will only work with one brand of implants, who won't go through the extra paperwork required for silicone implants etc.

My dr told me with implants my breast would look the same only bigger unless he did some added things during surgery. For example I have a natural 4 finger gap in between my breast. He told me during surgery he can lift the muscle to help get them closer but I run a higher risk or the skin lifting and looking like I have one boob. I did get two different size implants to help off set the small size difference. Drs do have some tricks to help but you run a higher risk of complications. My dr warned me due to thin skin, and lack of breast before surgery ( lol they were sad) I would have rippling so he suggested going under the muscle and silicone. I did have muscle distortion for the first 6 or so months, but now years out I rarely get distortion unless I am trying a new move or something.
