I've been trying to find one but I can't find anything that matches my skin tone well enough at Sephora. I've heard tons of hype about them too so I'm curious!

I use Smashbox's and I love it. I also have a sample for Dr. Jart's but haven't tried it yet.

They are meant to have skincare benefits in them, most of them can be very pale, the one I have breaks me out.

there was a thread about this about a month or two ago, i think we determined that dr jarts and laura mercier bb creams were the best. i tried garner and it was horrible. it felt like an oil slick on my face, didn't cover ANYTHING, and made me break out.

and i'm the kind of person that has relatively dry skin and NEVER breaks out. generally most of the foundations i use my friends call "too oily" (like nyx hd foundation) but just feel sooo perfect on my skin and sink right in.

not that garnier shit. and the worst part was it was like $13 at the store i think!!

Wow, maybe you could return it? I got a sample of the L'Oreal one, it was in a magazine, unfortunately it got smeared around, & sat in my mailbox in the heat. I also have an unopened sample of the Maybelline one.
I like the idea of a 'combo skin care/moisturizor/light makeup thing, they have them in primer form too.

Well I'm trying the Smashbox BB creme. So far no breakouts and my foundation and powder stay on a lot longer without creasing.

It's like now that I know what it is, I'm seeing it literally in EVERY drugstore/makeup counter area here. So many choices now!

Absolutely love Too Faced BB cream. However it's hard to find matching colors. Too dark, I put a lighter color powder over it our vise versa

I've been using this stuff for a few years off and on. It's really big in Korea/Asia, and I happen to live in a very Korean heavy area so my friends introduced me several years ago. I like it as I'm very pale, but it used to be very hard to find it in darker colors-- now that it's gone mainstream though it should be easier. I use Missha, which is South Korean. Be careful because authentic Asian brands tend to have skin whiteners in them, and heavy SPF. Again, shouldn't be such an issue with mainstream brands

As to what it is, it's basically a tinted moisturizer with anti aging and cover up properties. Like... an all in one skin product. xD

Off the Missha website, excuse the amusingly awkward english:

"This M Perfect Cover BB Cream makes your skin tone clean and natural by concealing blemishes with excellent skin coverage.
It is a multi functional makeup cream with blocking UV rays, whitening and wrinkle care effects and simplifies makeup formalities.
It's moisturized application with W/S texture makes sleek skin tone while supplying moisture and nutrition at the same time."

I dont understand the hype of it. I tried a tester and didnt like it...

I always put on primer, then mixed face cream, with bronze gel and foundation together on a sponge and my face is done... Same thing?

    here's a description:

    What it is:
A five-in-one set secret for achieving flawless skin on camera and beyond.

    What it does:
This multitasking tinted cream formula with SPF 35 moisturizes, primes, perfects, controls oil, and protects for flawless skin on set and beyond. Formulated with emollients and optical pearl pigments, this BB Cream gives skin a glowing, ethereal look and provides a hydrating veil for the complexion to maintain moisture on the surface of the skin. With its ultra-smoothing finish, it instantly re-texturizes to create a smooth canvas. Especially when worn under foundation, it enhances the wear of makeup. Ideal even for oily complexions, this expert formula with UVA/UVB protection helps inhibit oil to prevent the complexion from getting shiny throughout the day without the typical chalky matte finish.

What else you need to know:
Smashbox first heard about Asia's hottest beauty craze in the photo studios from makeup artists, who had just been on location, and found it was the best tool to perfect skin on set without all the typical layers of product such as moisturizer, primer, concealer, and foundation, which can irritate sensitive skin. This unique formula creates "progressive" coverage, which means you can achieve different levels of coverage depending on how you wear it. Appropriate for all skin types, this product is free of fragrance, dermatologist tested, and non-acnegenic.

So essentially it is all types of makeup in one cream. Which is actually pretty awesome. I've been using Smashbox Camera Ready. First I put on a light moisutrizer then the BB Cream then my powder. My skin looks really good. I also have some wrinkles (from my nose to my mouth, like a smile line) that my powder used to crease in, but since I've been using the BB cream it doesn't crease anymore. I haven't really noticed a decrease in the amount of oil in my skin though.

Interesting. I will have to put it on my "to try" list. I assumed it was just some skin-lightener creme or something.

I've never used any of the North American ones but I've tried several from Asia and Skin79 makes the best ones IMO. Specifically this one:

    Skin79__SUPER__BB_Cream_PINK.jpg

Its lightened my red spots, given me sun protection, moisturized..it does it all. The coverage on it I'd describe as somewhere between a tinted moisturizer and a light coverage foundation. Only comes in one shade, which thankfully suits me pretty perfectly, but since its an asian company, they're going to be for lighter skin tones. I don't use it everyday, I prefer heavier foundation during work (camgirl) but I wear the BB cream everytime I'm not on cam. Lighter coverage and better for my skin than foundation

I just bought the Maybelline one but I don't have really high hopes for it since it's a drug store beauty product. I love tinted moisturizer though and this one felt nice so I'm giving it a try. It was only $8. I'll try to remember to report back on whether or not it improved my skin tone or anything---but again, I highly doubt it's much more than tinted moisturizer.

Maybe when I'm not so broke I'll try the Smashbox one.
