    Default TER Issues

    So...mucho pissed here...

I just bought myself the $30/mo TER VIP status and tried to post an ad.

This is what is infuriating me: You must include a link to your website in your ad, but your website must have a link to TER/the TER banner.

I do not want the TER banner - its ugly! I HATE those tacky review board/directory banners, and they don't cooperate with my HTML5 Wix website anyway.

Idk about you guys but when I see a girls front page website is covered with every adboard around, and the links don't match the feel or colorscheme of her website in any way, I look at her in a different way, automatically.

Does anyone have any non-hideous (the fake wannabe gold emblem) TER banners?

Its pretty standard that escort sites want to be on your front page because they fear their links will get burried and they won't get traffic. There isn't much you can do to avoid it if you want to advertise with them. some might let it slide if you are a paying advertiser on their site but with TER they have pretty stricted rules and since its pretty dominated in the us there is not much you can do to get around their rules.

Odd rant, daniella. The TER banner is standard for anyone that want to be listed on TER. Honestly the $30 VIP has nothing to do with whether you can post there or not. The $30 only buys you access to juicy details to reviews - it doesn't give you special priviledges. You can post on TER for free without paying for the VIP.

    Annnnnddd...they banned me.

I actually found a half decent looking banner, actually, and stuck it at the very bottom of my homepage.

I understand that they want major traffic, which is fine, but I can't see why they don't just let me create my own banner that links to TER when clicked, it would take all of 10minutes and wouldent be nearly as demoralizing as having some chick with a bad perm saying "will she???" in neon.

Thanks Lovelyme, I saw in some other thread that providers "needed" the VIP. I coulden't figure out why...I'll go remove that charge right now, thanks.

You need VIP to send messages on TER - lots of guys won't email you, they'll send you a PM and you can only access those with VIP, so that's crucial for booking in my opinion. There are some not awful banners you can use - the little gold seal at the bottom is cute and small, and I like the "heels up, lace down" one, simple and classic.

    From TER ad guidelines

Provider ad posts (and ISO replies) must include a link to either your personal website, your TER review profile, or directly to your ad on an escort mall. This means that EVERY ad post, in order to be posted, MUST list one of the above three types of links in the "Link URL" field when creating the post. If the "Link URL" field is left blank, the ad post will not be approved.

If you include a link to your personal site in your ad post, your personal site must follow the PERSONAL SITE REQUIREMENTS FOR AD POSTING below for your ad post to be posted.

PERSONAL SITE REQUIREMENTS FOR AD POSTING:

When linking to your own site in your ad posts, your site must have either the REVIEWED AT TER emblem / link or a TER banner.
So you're only required to have an emblem or banner on your site if you link to your own site in your ad posts. If you just put a link back to your profile or to your Eros ad, you don't have to worry about putting an emblem or banner on your site.

I dont have VIP and am able to use the email system. I know that VIP is one way to get it, but there is another method too, I think it has something to do with posting in the boards? Im not entirely sure...but its something to check into. I just know that once I did whatever it was I needed to do, I emailed the site, told them I did it and requested mail system priveledges. I did this when I was fairly new too (which is why I cant remember what it was I did ) so it want anythign too intense.

You can make the the TER square smaller. It isn't that hard. Stick it in a lower corner. That is what I do.

If you as a provider have your review profile linked to your TER handle, you are then granted "Limited VIP" which allows you to use their private message system and read your own reviews. If you want to read other ladies reviews you'll need to pay for regular VIP.

Ahh! okay that sounds totally right..I knew there was some way to use the email system without paying for VIP. Im not curious enough about other providers reviews to pay for the service...as long as I can read my own and reply to emails Im good

Well by being able to read all the reviews you can sorta checkup on a perspective client if you know his TER handle. You can see what kind of girls he usually sees, the activities, how he scores the reviews, and maybe get an idea of his personality and attitude from how he writes his reviews. I mean if a guy is an asshole in his own review and always gives providers low scores he may not be someone you really want to spend time with.

Good point, but it also depends how you like to do business. If you are mainly concerned with getting TER business then that is probably good enough, but if you want people to find your webpage through google searches then having people get to your page through a TER link will help bring you to the first or second page of a google search. Part of the way google ranks how important your page is to a search is by how many people are linking to it from older, bigger, more populated websites, like TER, or if you make a comment on Huffington Post and include your website, and someone clicks on it to find out more about you, it bumps you toward that first page rating because google thinks your site must be important if people are leaving TER and HuffPost to look it up.

Yes, that is a very good point. Optimizing how your site places in search results is a very good business practice and having your site links on TER or other national sites should definitely improve your search rankings. The OP was looking for a way to post her ad on TER without having to put up their emblem and banner on her site. She can do that if she doesn't include a link to her website in her ad post. I know some may think its arbitrary of TER to make those requirements but then again they are allowing escorts to advertise freely on TER and get traffic to their escort websites by having links to those sites on TER so I can't really blame TER for insisting on some link back. They really shouldn't have to make that a requirement since it is the polite and right thing to do.

Yes, it wasn't intended to be a hijack, I just thought it was worth mentioning since I felt the exact same way as the OP. I have spent a lot of time and money creating my website's image and a bunch of clutter on the first page kind of ruins the effect. The only reason I ended up putting the badge on my own site was because someone pointed out the benefit of the rankings to me. Whenever anyone gives me some good information I feel like I should share it when the subject comes up again. As to the original question I don't really have advice. I wish I could help, but I don't know of an alternative TER banner, I just chose the one from their website that blends into my home page the best.
