Default Tony heels... No grip on the bottom?

I ordered a pair of Tony Shoes (701, I believe) and when I received them, there was no grip on the bottom! Just a flat black pad. I thought maybe it would stick anyway, so I wore them for one stage round, and they didn't even stick enough to the floor for me to shake my ass. Is this a known design? I can't find anything online about it. I don't know if it's just how they're made or if Snaz75 screwed me, because it took them a week just to ship the damn things, even though my bottoms arrived 3 days after I ordered. I went ahead and bought some Pleasers from my local shop, I'm just a little upset that I'm going to have to take these to a shoe person and get them fixed.

I have a pair of Tony shoes and they don't have a grip on the bottom either.

Lol idk I just kinda did. I've heard some girls take a knife to the bottom and carve in grooves. I also believe you can buy grips or take them to a shoe cobbler and have them put grip onto the bottom.

I was going to take them to a cobbler to ensure that they are put on there well (I'm accident prone, lol). So they really sell stripper shoes without grip? What's the deal? Conspiracy to kill us one by one?

Hate tony shoes...I used to buy those grips, but sometimes even they slide off the bottoms so I refuse to buy them and I still with ellie or pleaser

I love Tony shoes for just this reason. They provide some grip, but not too much.... but it may be the club's flooring I work at??? And also they are made much better than Pleaser these days. I'm more concerned with the soles staying on. In that respect, Pleaser has gone downhill it seems to me. I can't get a pair that don't fall off within a week or two.

Oh, btw, my absolute faves, and the best made I believe, are Karo shoes... Anyone know the best place to buy them online these days--8-inchers? My old sites are gone.

Tony shoes are extremely well constructed, except for the bottoms. I hate Ellie and Pleaser. They break and stretch so easily! Maybe I'll just try another brand.

I also like shoes with very little grip on the bottom. Pleasers always have to much grip on them for me, I find it hard to twirl! I don't think my shoes have ever affected my ass shaking though haha

Yeah I figured it's a dance sole, so you can twirl without sticking. Like a cheap pair I bought have normal walking soles so can't really turn round the pole. Just takes a little getting used ot if you normally have more grip, only need subtle movements. Not sure what you mean about not being able to shakes your ass though.

Like, my feet slide sideways, so I can't plant them firmly on the ground (granite stage). My feet aren't firm enough on the ground to move my hips from side to side.

Well I don't go through shoes nearly as much as I'm sure some of you guys do, since as of yet I only pole dance for fitness. I work in a dance shoe store though, so here are my two cents:

Tony brand aren't as grippy as I'd like, but as someone else said, it's an easy fix. You can get them rubbered by a shoe cobbler (A smooth, or circular grain of rubber/dancer's rubber will have less grip, a rough grain like a sneaker will have more), you can put sure-grip or other grip aids on the bottom for a few bucks, or you can rough up the bottom of the shoes with an exacto knife or a wire dance shoe brush.
