    Question Christmas Craft Time

Yeah, I know-disgusting but since I don't want to freak out and not be able to finish a project that I start later I've bought stuff now to start.

ah, how I fucking hate getting the knack of knitting since I haven't done it in ages and
I wasn't that good to begin with.

I'm starting with knitting a scarf for the boyfriend and then I'd like to make him a beenie.

I'm also going to make him a special applique stocking, you know the type that takes liktwo solidweekfrom all the embroidery?

I might make a couple of christmas ornaments, and then I might then make a couple of scarves fpr other people. I figure it's been several years since the last big knitting explosion (at least in my circles) so they should be okay with getting new scarves.

I'm also considering some artwork projects but not til late November or early december.

girl you are ambitious. I made a cheap looking yarn wreath. Found the idea on Pinterest. That's my craft for the year

YAY! Good girl Feindish!!!! I'm not so good at knitting. This year everyone is getting apple butter or pear butter that I've been sweating my ass off canning the last few weeks. And then for my nieces and nephews I'm going to make Quillows. They're so easy to make, and I have 9 of them. LOL.

I have a quillow! great for sticking one's feet into on a cold night.

If you're into canning, have you looked into some of the savory chutneys that go great with cheese or meat? I don't can but I keep an eye out for stuff like that just in case, though I did see a great easy recipe for flavor infused butters.

I'm about to take my knitting down to the pool.

Has anyone seen the Jannlynn or Bucilla stocking kits at the craft store? They're crazy cool! I think I've picked out the one I want for my boyfriend. Maybe I'll make myself one too. They have a Cupcake Angel stocking that cracks me up because I call my ladybits my cupcake. So basically I see the title and think "hey! It's the Cunt Angel!" That's perfect for me (or my boyfriend since I'd be the Christmas Cunt Angel. There isn't a Santa Claus in MY house!)"

    yeah, bitches!

You are so right up my ally chica! LMAO. I don't even know what chutney is, I'll have to google it! I love cool stockings, unfortunately my town is so small that the ONLY craft store I have is Walmart! Yeah, it's that bad. I have to drive an hour to get to any good stores.

eh, michaels only had maybe five stocking kits. I'm likely going to order online since the "cooler" ones like Pirate Santa are online.

I'm jealous of all you knitters!! I really want to learn... maybe if I start now, I'll be able to make some gifts for Christmas 2013 lol! I wanna think up some crafty stuff too, for decorating. I decorate my apartment like crazy for Christmas!

(PS - So I totally was on the Sweb homepage and saw the time and was like "omgz must make student loan payment right now before the office closes ARGH"... then I saw this thread title in the Most Recent section and then it was immediately like "omgz crafts and Christmas in one thread!!!" *loan payment drifts away into distance* . Because I clearly have my priorities in solid order.)

Youtube has some really great tutorials. Just get bigger knitting needles. I'm reacquainting myself on super small needles and the tight weave is driving me batshit. I think I'm finally getting the hang of it after three or so hours

I love crafts! I'm just trying to think of Xmas ones I could do without them being over the top. Tacky can be good, if done correctly lol. Any suggestions for crafts? (Sorry to threadjack!) I'm not really the knitting type because I lack patience... I think I'm TOO motivated to get things done lol.

    I'm thinking:
    - decorating a stocking for myself and my pet with glitterglue
    - covering tree ornaments in rainbow glitter (idk if I want a normal-sized or mini tree yet though)

    Hmmm

Grabbing a sweatshirt or sweater and making crazy tacky holiday appliques to make fun of the "dreaded christmas sweater"?

    costume jewelry refrigerator magnets?

    Paint a christmas ornament?
