    Crossfingers Help! my eyelid's Swollen!

Ugh, I know I posted sorta about this (my itchy, irritated eyelid) but now, it's swollen/red. I think it's some kind of allergy (not from makeup which I have not worn in a while). I put some aloe on it, & some Benedryl spray (applied w/a swab) took an Ibuprophen, what else should I do?

flush with saline or make some salt water. If it's infected you can smoosh neosporin in there (works for eye infections on dogs so I assume it would do the same for humans.)

So long as you're not having any red lines radiating from it, or swelling in other parts of your body that would suggest allergic reaction, I would say just keep doing what you're doing and maybe put an ice pack wrapped in a towel on top of it from time to time.

If swelling goes up tomorrow or it's really really hot to the touch and feeling miserable, then you might go to urgent care.

    p.s. I'm not a doctor--that's just what I would do.

oh, and replace all your makeup you've used lately and really clean your makeup brushes well.

    How's your eye?

edit: sorry I just read the part about no makeup. What have you introduced that's been new? skin care stuff or even detergent for your sheets?

well 1st of all, this started back a couple months ago..thought maybe I'd gotten bitten on my eyelid by a bug, there was a red pimple like thing. It went away, but then I got this scaly stuff (not noticeable but I could feel it by touching). It seems to be a chronic thing, it acts up/gets worse when it gets a bit warm. Yesterday was the worst it's been in a while.
It seems to be better, & the Benedryl applied w/a swab helps the most. For some reason applying aloe pure gel made it burn yesterday.
But thanks so much for posting, it's just annoying more than anything. I use only unscented laundry products, I don't really wear fragrance.

Sounds like you have what is called a "stye", look it up on google. There are different remedies to fix it and it only lasts for a couple of days. I just had one myself.
