Hello everyone, I was hoping I could get some advice! I've been working in the Baltimore Hustler Club as a waitress for a few months now, but I really need to be making more money, so I thought I'd make the switch from waitress to dancer. My only hang up with working in Baltimore is that I'm uncomfortable with lap dances and champagne rooms. So I thought maybe I'd like to dance in DC, where I know it's stage only. I am particularly interested in Camelot, Archibald's, and perhaps even Royal Palace. Suggestions of other clubs would be welcome! However, I have a few concerns and questions.
I'm 5'8" without heels, 118 lbs., toned. Even though my boobs are small (32C is my bra size), I frequently receive compliments on them. My measurements are 35-24-36. I have long, dark hair and pale skin. I am often told I look like Anne Hathaway. I mean, a lot. Like at least once a night when I'm at work, someone tells me this. Many, many customers have encouraged me to dance. I know I would fit in at Hustler, since we have a variety of dancers, but does anyone know what kind of a look clubs like Camelot and Archibald's are going for? Would I be able to fit in there?
What is the dancing like? I've been to Camelot and it is my understanding that there are no pole tricks or floor work there, but what about the other clubs?
If I were hired as a dancer, how many shifts would I be expected to work at first? I'd rather work maybe two shifts a week at first, day time or night time, to get a feel for it, while I keep my waitressing job in case things don't work out. Is that a typical practice, or is it unreasonable to expect that? Should I be prepared to work four or five shifts a week at first instead?
What is the money making potential? I know it's impolite to inquire, but I'd just like a rough idea of what kind of money I might be making. When there are no lap dances or VIP rooms and no floor work and little pole work, I find it hard to believe anyone is making any money. If I worked two shifts a week and made an average of $400 a week, I would be...content. Is that reasonable, or should I expect to earn way less? Should I dare to hope to earn more than that?
Is it challenging to get hired at these clubs? I don't have any dancing experience, so will that hurt my chances of getting hired?
I would be so happy to receive any other club-specific information, tips, advice, etc. I really want to do this but I am so nervous!
