Default Too Young to Book a Hotel Room!

I was working on planning a tour when it comes to my attention that I can't actually book myself a hotel! I have to be 21 to book at any decent place...even if someone else booked the room for me, I'd still need to show ID upon arrival.

I could possibly buy a really good quality fake ID, but if for some reason that doesn't work out...then what? To what extent do they check the ID? Ugh...that probably varies hotel to hotel.

Now I guess I'm stuck with Airbnb which is somewhat of a gamble....

    This blows!

The Marriott hotel chains minimum age is 18.

Is that everywhere? I remember when I was 19 and wanted to tour Boston - this was the problem I ran into so I waited years to tour.
    If it's 18, then that's great.

I know I have heard that, too, but I know plenty of girls that use Marriotts for incalls and have never had any issues. I think if you keep a really low profile you will be fine.

I agree with this. A lot of ladies have advised not to use marriotts but I think it's silly. I've stayed at Marriott so many tiimes I can't count and I always felt safe.
As LC says, Keep a low profile and you'll be fine.

For me it's about not wanting to give my money to a hotel chain that is so against my profession/way of life that they are actively out to get us. I can keep a low profile, but I like to vote with my dollars!

But seriously, keep a low profile. Don't be stupid! Be very paranoid! At least for the first 6-9 months - if you've gotten that far without getting busted, then you can take a look at your methods and evaluate your risks appropriately, but before that point, paranoia is your friend

So if you want to be with me
With these things there’s no telling
We just have to wait and see
But I’d rather be working for a paycheck
Than waiting to win the lottery
Besides maybe this time is different
I mean I really think you like me

I haven't had problems with this even when I was 18 or 19 and they did check my ID, I dont think they are very strict about these age requirements as long as you seem like a legit paying customer..e.g not a group of 18 yo party people.

Yes that's great but she's talking about planning a tour and who wants to plan a tour and be stranded somewhere because the hotel won't let them get a room because they're underage. Better safe than sorry. Daniella should call around before leaving her home state.

I am pretty sure it is chainwide and probably always at their discretion. Don't prance in there looking like a ho or an 18 year old.

I shop at Wal-Mart, I shop at Target, I buy designer clothes made in country with poor wages and work ethics. I don't think staying at the Marriott is any different. Who's air did I just breathe? Fuck, I need to stop breathing.
