    Default Endurance needed for dancing

Hi all, I hope to start dancing soon so im trying to become as familiar as I can about dancing etc. I decided to take some classes (groupon deal so I figured why not) tonights class was pole fitness.... when I say that I could hardly walk after, I tell you no lies. Ok so maybe I havent been in the gym in a loooooonng time but anyhow is this what it will be like all the time? Also I cant sit with my butt on my feet/ankles, its so frustrating because I feel that it limits me from doing floor moves. even before deciding to dance I was always envious of those who could and just accepted it was something I couldnt do. But I need to do it! What can I do to help?

I plan on auditioning first week in november, I want to be ready though

Generally speaking, you don't need to do pole work at all to be a stripper. So if that's what's wearing you out, just don't do a lot of pole stuff.

When I first started I did get tired kind of easily, but you'll get used to it quickly. Sometimes under the hot lights on stage I still get tired or over heated, so I just take that as a cue to lay back and do some floor work or just lazily shake my butt.

I'm not sure what you mean by not being able to sit on your feet/ankles. Do you mean squatting or like with your knees on the floor sitting back on your feet/ankles? Either way really, you should be able to find ways to work around it, especially once you've got some experience.

All in all, in many clubs stage work isn't super vital to your earnings, and there are so many different ways and styles to dancing on stage that I'm sure you'll be able to adapt it to fit your needs.

Yeah try some yoga. And just stretching at home will help, too.
The bruising will get better, but I still get tons of bruises 2 years into it... pick up some Arnica, that will help.

For endurance, start doing cardio. 30 minutes a day, every day. You should do this anyway for health, but really... aerobics or running, and you'll be fine endurance wise in about 2-3 weeks.
