Default "I will give you more time!"

In my club there are some dancers who use this method as a way of getting dances, saying that they will give the customer more time if they pay for a dance, sometimes they promise to double the time, two dances for one, sometimes just a few minutes more. Sometimes they offer to do this even before the customer has had the chance to complain about (or accept!) the original price.

    I don't do this.

Customers comment on this every now and then, saying how earlier some dancer offered this much time for the same price or lower, "That is a good way of doing business, she's a smart girl, you should do the same. It's recession!"

I don't feel like lowering my price, but sometimes I am selling a group with another dancer and she promises "more time". It's not always the dancers actually give extra time when they have promised it, but some of them do and when the guy I'm with sees his friend getting more time with his dancer over there, for free, while I stop to get more money out of him... well obviously he doesn't like it.

Any thoughts on this subject, any advice? Would you give minutes away for free in order to sell a dance?

Never. Don't undervalue yourself, and don't negotiate. Know your price and stick with it. Yeah, the girls who give time away for free now will have a bit more money than you at that present time, but it's a slippery slope, and their customers will come to expect "deals" and freebies in the future. Wouldn't it be annoying to have a regular expecting a couple of free songs come in at a busy time, when you could be charging for each song and making more money? If a customer puts up a fuss, "you get what you pay for" or "well, why aren't you getting a dance from her then?"

That isn't allowed at most clubs and also cheap ass customers might be lying about it anyways. Even if it's true, don't you sell yourself short!

I have no idea why girls would do this. In most clubs, the dances are that price because that's what they can charge for them. Also, if your club takes a cut, it's pretty dumb to lower your dance price and make even less.

Just move on if a customer doesn't want to extend if you won't do it for free. It doesn't even matter if you manage to get a dance from somebody else right away, you're better off hustling a guy with real money than dancing for free for some cheapskate.
