Default Pole grips - What, if any, do you use?

I'm on the constant hunt for the perfect pole grip, and figured getting suggestions here would be a good idea. I've used iTac2, and while it works, I find it has too much grip. I'm not able to do any real spins with it, only inverts. Right now I'm using Dry Hands, which is great, but wears off too quickly.

Dry hands is usually the only one I use. iTac try rinsing your hands after you apply it - gets rid of the powdery residue. Also make sure you wash your hands before using grip aids, makes them far more effective.

If you have a problem with sweaty hands put some antiperspirant on them then rinse after 30 seconds.

Washing your hands with dish washing liquid is more effective for getting any grease off your hands.

If you've ever heard of Dew Point which is a grip aid for thighs, stomach, back of knees etc (i.e. not hands) don't bother, it works but it's just glycerine and water which you can buy from any drug store at a 10th of the cost.

The best thing to do though is just grip strengthening exercises which you can do with a dumbell - hold it vertically like you would a pole and do the same motion as a bicep curl.

I'm a big fan of itac during the summer, but we have a spinning pole at work so too much grip is fine.

Definitely work your hands like Amareth suggested. I've found just getting stronger is the best thing to do.

I found a pair of leather fingerless gloves that are fantastic. They were 20 bucks and I'm kind of surprised they haven't ripped yet..
I also mostly work on spinning poles if I can, and don't wear them on stationary poles.

I use football gloves but they can be too sticky for spins, then I switch to baseball gloves

Thanks for the strengthening advice. I have had nightmarish experiences with Dry Hands. iTac is good but have gotten "stuck" upside down more times than I want to admit. LOL!

I have some anti-perspirant medical kinda stuff I use at night before bed that helps dry out my hands before comps or whatever and sometimes will use lemon juice. I found using dry hands and products like that left residue on the pole and its better to get used to not using any at all... I rarely need to use anything anymore.

I asked the same question on this site a while ago, and was turned on to mighty grip. It works well, but made my hands look filthy by the end of the night. I've been using hairspray (that cheapo freeze-it gold can stuff, same as I put in my hair) lately.

I just bought itac but it hasn't been delivered yet. I need it ASAP because I just bought a chrome xpole to practice at home and I can't do ANYTHING on it! I immediately slide down, it's so darn slippery

^if you're desperate for grip on your x pole rub candle wax on it. Be warned it makes it incredibly grippy to the point any slides hurt a lot!

Interesting point abt the candle wax, I might keep that in mind when I finally get mine!

I had a customer last fall turn me onto PrinceGrip, it's actually a grip enhancer for racquet sports. I wear fingerless weight-lifting gloves at work to improve my grip since I have nerve damage in my hand. The current club I'm at won't let me use the PrinceGrip stuff b/c it leaves a residue on the pole that can be tough to clean off, but when I was using it at my old club I'd rub it on the spot on my back/shoulder where I did the shoulder mount & cover it w/ a bit of powder. No lie, that stuff is extremely sweat-resistant -- no more setting up for the shoulder mount then WHOOP! ending up flat on my back b/c I'm too slippery. Also I put it on between my thighs where I grip the pole, while those muscles were building but don't need it there anymore
