    Default Alternatives to tanning?

So I am one of those unfortunate people who cannot tan. I am allergic to the rays that are put off in tanning beds ): I am extremely pale..and though people tell me I can pull it off as being "porcelain skinned" but it's starting to get really really old being pale! What are some alternatives to actually tanning? Do you guy's know of any good lotions, sprays, etc. that doesn't get streaky? Also I read on here about the injection you can do..but really just the whole idea of injecting an unnatural hormone into me freaks me out. Any suggestions?

I get an airbrush every week. The kind where a lady sprays you. It's expensive and stinks and is ugly when it flakes off but Its all I can really do. I can't tan at all in the sun, just burn.

I used to use the lotion sublime bronze which I liked the best out of all the self tanners and it was cheap but when I found airbrush I stopped. It looks a lot better with airbrush.

I refuse to use something like the melotan sp? shots because I'm afraid of taking shit idk what will do to me, side effects, it's prob fine but for me I'd be thinking I was gonna die the whole time lol. They also have the melotan in nasal spray if needles freak u out, but still not for me.

Sorry if this isn't much help, I just wanted to tell u I feel ur pain! Let's embrace our paleness. Look at Angelina Jolie she's pale and hot as f, same Megan fox, scarjo, and the girl with the huge boobs on mad men.

You could try a gradual self tanner, like jergens healthy glow lotion. I like the firming one the best. Or do spray tans. If you just need a tan for a special occasion, sally hansen airbrush legs is awesome. I always love how my fake tan looks when I use that stuff It makes my legs looks amazing! But that one washes off, it's more like a body makeup so you have to apply it every time you need a tan.

I used to work in a tanning salon with sunless options. Even though I tan easily, I still mix sun with sunless due to not wanting to look like a raisin.
I would suggest trying a Mystic/Cal-tan booth spray set on light to start and see if you like it. Scrub a lot in the shower before you spray and use buffer cream on your hands/feet/rough skin. Cover your hair as well. The salon should have this stuff for you.
In the event you want something at home, I suggest Banana Boat's sunless spray in lime scent. It has a lime wedge on the can-- the smell is better than any other I've tried and gives a brown bronze without orange-y or weird color. Spray about a foot away from you and in vertical, flowy movements. You can also contour your legs and stomach to lean you out if needed. Lotions are too streaky and orange, IMO.
Those are the best, aside from getting someone to airbrush you. Airbrushing is dependent on the tech doing it, so unless you find a good tech, the machines and at-home sprays work best. PM me if you need more advice.

I love Victoria Secret's sunless tanner. It gives me a good natural color (I'm super pale and cannot tan), and it has a bronzer in it which helps me apply it evenly. Seriously I love this stuff.

I've tried the spray tan thing. I had a groupon which was $200 for a year of unlimited spray tanning, so it was a really good deal but I eventually just stopped going because it was such a pain in the ass. I prefer to just to it myself. Like I said, I use Victoria Secret's sunless tanner, and then nights I work I might spray Sally Hansen's airbrushed leg stuff all over me. I've never had a problem with it rubbing off.

Yea I stick with airbrush tanning and even though Im streaky sometimes its the best option.. The Jergens doesnt give enough color for me and takes several days to even build up to anything noticeable..If anyone wants to know about the more affordable way to do airbrush pm me.

i use sunlabs tanning in ultra dark as well and also use it on my body. its organic and paraben free. the undertones are grey and red i believe so no orangey look at all. it looks AMAZING on. i've tried all of the drugstore self tanners and i've done all kinds of salon spray tans and this is the best hands down.

I use ths on my face (Ultra Dark Instant Self-Tanner Lotion) it says its for body only, as they have a seperate line for face lotions but I use it on my face anyway as the bottle was bigger. Works fine, I have irovy skin, and use ultra dark, mix the lotion with any moisturizer and apply. It goes on evenly and there are no streaks at all, plus the undertone is not orange. I add in moisturzer as some others may not because I think it goes on more evenly and doesnt go too dark.

They have tons of reviews and products from cream/lotion to DIY sprays with their products.

They include Exfoliate Body Gel and Tan Maintaining Lotion which personally to me is useless as those seem like money grabs as you can use your own exfoliate and the maintaing lotion is usually just a regular moisturzer, but the rest seem reasonable.

I have heard AMAZING stuff about Fake Bake from various girls, they have this one called Fake Bake Flawless that comes with a mitten and you wear the mitten as you rub it on so it doesn't get all over your hands and make you orange. Upon researching it I found this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XOE_aUGxgQ), and thought this girl had a nice tan and she shows you how exactly she puts it on. I found it on Amazon for pretty cheap also.
