    Question Body makeup? Airbrush?

Hi everyone. I have been scouring the internet for a REALLY good body makeup. I am looking to cover up a few relatively light stretch marks and just overall even out the skin tone on my legs, thighs, etc. I can't find anything that lasts, won't rub off on my outfits or runs when I sweat. I do a lot of pole climbing, etc so I can't have it oily either. Anyone know of anything out there that might work or is even worth trying?

The non-cream/oily wash off tans that I like are Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs and the spray on Le tan one (I personally don't sweat them off, but I apply them before work, give them a bit of time to dry/let the excess rub off before I get on stage). I've met ppl who spray hairspray over these products so that they don't run and sweat off. If you are just wanting to cover a small area, dermablend is a great cover up for strech marks (and scars, tattoos etc). A normal salon spray tan can make a big difference and will help to even out your skin tone/hide your strech marks a bit too.

Thanks OliveJardin! I never even thought about a salon spray tan (I'm light/brownskinned African American) but I may give it a shot. If for no other reason out of curiosity. I've used the Sally Hansen once before to cover a bruise on my thigh I got from learning a new pole trick LOL! It worked pretty okay but that one section of my thigh was more "glittery" than the rest of my leg. HA!

    Sally Hansen Airbrushed Legs
    Dermablend

They are the shit. Dermablend offers better coverage. Sally Hansen is good for evening out larger areas.

Thanks Sierra! I've never personally tried Dermablend and read mixed reviews about it but I will definitely give it a shot.

^ Make sure you go match your color in person. They have a few different skin tones, so you definitely want to try some out before you buy it.

We might actually be the same color, I'm caramel-toned and there really is no dermablend shade that suits me properly. I've purchased atleast 3 different shades/products. Save your money.

I worked at a planet beach and tried the spray tanning (Mystic Tan) at level 3 to even tone/cover stretch marks - turned orange.

For camming/dancing/or photography I'd recommend the Sally Hansen. It is a bit glittery though. I find that they're shades run a bit light so go slightly darker than you think you need.

    Tips:
    - Exfoliate and moisturise your skin before spraying. This makes the application much more even. Also - it WILL dry your skin out, esp if you top off with hairspray
    - If you can, apply it outside, in your shower, or with sheets
    - Make sure to get under the boobies and bend over to get it under the booty!
    - After it dries, top off with a bronzing lotion to add a "dewy glow" (I think this makes it look more natural)
    - Apply the lotion with the palms and backs of your hands, not your fingertips
    - You can always use a hairdryer to speed up the setting process
    - Don't wear anything white, darker colors are best

This stuff however, will still rub off. You can put all you want on top the spray to prevent that but nothing can stop the sweat that comes out of your skin (underneath the spray)

This thread mentions some more "heavy duty" cover-up methods:

This thread is so useful. I'm hoping to be back on stage between January or February and I will need some makeup to cover the stretch marks that hadn't faded away; several stretch marks did fade away due to extensive use of cocoa and shea butters but only like 35% to 40% of them had faded.

I've been wanting to try this stuff because it has a whole bunch of ingredients that are good for your skin, and it says it will not move unless washed off. I didn't find out about it until summer was over, and I keep my skin pale in winter, but I'll definitely try it next summer to see if it really doesn't sweat or rub off. It's a great price.
