Anyone work at a club with a high tip-out? How do you decide when it is worth working on slow nights?
Anyone work at a club with a high tip-out? How do you decide when it is worth working on slow nights?
Is there a mandatory amount of shifts or mandatory slow shift requirement at your club?
I find slow nights are only worthwhile if you consistently work them and over time cultivate some regulars. There's always the odd chance that you land a whale, but steady money is key for the slow shifts.

I would make sure to take care of people enough on good nights, that on bad nights they were ok if I could only give them five bucks.
i work in a high tip out club. if times are tough, id only work weekends. if i am financially stable, i dont mind taking a gamble on the rest of the week.

Another thing I remembered is if I'm at a high tip out club, I don't let myself get frustrated and give up as easily. I only give myself periodic smoke breaks to recharge, not long chats in the back. I won't talk to girls so I'm forced to get social interaction from customers.

I tip out the minimum amount on bad nights & extremely good on great nights... I notice the way I get treated & taken care of by the staff shows that every dollar was worth it.

Is this tip out mandatory regardless of how much you make (ie they take a flat fee and not merely a % of your earnings, so if you don't make $ you waste time AND money?)
I worked in a club with a $50 mandatory "fee" required to be paid upfront. This rule was enacted after I had been there for a year and they previously had been taking a % at the end of the night.
This is one of the reasons I left the club. My time is valuable, and when I was in school I did not have time to waste coming down there, paying them, hoping to turn a profit and if not I got naked/gawked at for free..when I could have been home studying.
That is some bullshit and I wouldn't recommend anyone to do this.
Obviously I found it very exploitative.
It is a flat rate regardless of how much you make. I could make it less if I was on schedule three days a week for I think 8hrs. But with my schedule I can't do that right now. It is supposed to be the season down here now, hopefully it just getting a late start and some more $$$ will finally come in.
Thank you for the suggestions. I think I worded it wrong. It is a mandatory house fee that is charged that includes set tips in it.

I like to tip consistantly. Then, when I have reeeaaally good nights, no one bothers me for more. However, I hate paying $60 just to walk in the damn door on a Monday. UGH!
Christie's in Cleveland is losing business, so they're passing costs to the girls by raising door/food/drink prices. I think it may be time to move on, for me.

I think this is totally wrong. Usually they do this if there is no other way for the club to make money (do you work in a dive by any chance?) or else they are just greedy.
Either way, I wouldn't work at such a place unless I needed the money and there was NO other option.

^ They charged a house fee that included tipout at Mons Venus in Tampa.

I just worked at a club that charged an upfront housefee and to me that seems like a good sign the club isn't doing well if they have to hedge against the girls not making their tip out. Is this becoming more common because a ouple women mentioned it in this thread?
Ungoogle yourself:
Also, now offering phone sexins!

^^ I would think the same thing, but Delilah's in Philly charges high fees up front, but I always did very well there. Christie's in Cleveland also charges high house fees up front, and it's so slow that I'm often surprised that they're even still open. I think clubs should be modeled after The Lodge in Dallas. If you show up on time (7pm), house is free!

How is the club struggling financially just because of missing house fees? They charge entrance, inflate alcohol prices by roughly 300%, charge VIP membership fees (sometimes), overinflate food prices, and pay their actual employees next to nothing. Regular bars stay in business just fine with lower prices and wages for everyone.
