Default frizzy hair won't stay straight

I have hair that feels mostly healthy but gets really frizzy and poofy after I style it and won't maintain the style. I really like the straight and sleek look but my hair poofs out almost immediately and starts to curl a little bit. anyone else have a fix for this?

^Yeah, product is needed here. I say start with a good deep conditioner and let it set for a few minutes. Then, a straightening serum. If you want volume, use a round brush to dry. If you don't, a flat one will work. From there, straighten and then use a hairspray to set it. Keep using the deep conditioner, not just on occasion. Frequent styling with heat can fuck your shit up, but a good deep conditioner will help loads.

Personally, I love Aquage's healing conditioner and Bain de Terre's products for shampoo/conditioner. CHI is good for products to be used with heat. +1 for Tigi, especially S Factor.

I depends on your hair texture, some hair just doesn't stay straight. Mine doesn't except on the driest of days (occasionally in the winter). I have tried every product under the sun but no matter what my hair starts to curl again almost right away, even if just at the ends and just a bit. I have found the best way to deal with it is to just work a few big curls into your hairstyle, or better yet, wear the whole thing in big loose sexy curls (just at the end, the top part stays straight), tease, spray. With this style you get the smoothness and sleekness of a straight style, but in a way that should work better with your natural hair texture and hopefully stay pretty for much longer. To make the style last longer or if your hair is not holding a nice shape from a heat styling tool you can do the waves with big rollers or pins overnight then spray them and brush them out a bit in the morning.

I have no advice for you I just want to say the grass is always greener. I buy hair like yours and curl my own to blend in because I really like that look. To me it looks so soft and touchable and fun. You see frizz, I see supermodel photo shoot.

My friend's hair is like that and the only thing that keeps it straight is a brazilian blowout

Try pure Argan or Morroccanoil. It works wonders. Aussie's Deeeeep Conditioner (Three Minute Miracle) is a good inexpensive option, too.

Essentially describing my hair, to the letter. It's thin, super dry, frizzy, yet will not stay straight nor can it hold a curl other than my own stubborn ones

However! After many a Brazilian blowout, these three have never failed me!

    1. Kerastase Nectar Thermique
    2. Alterna dry oil (http://www.sephora.com/bamboo-smooth...l-mist-P278004)
    3. BB creme de coco mask

I have to say, I don't know your routine but my hair is -so- much easier to manage when I blow it straight as opposed to air drying. Washing less helped me a lot, too.

    My routine for sleek hair.

Wash with a sulfate free shampoo, dry hair with a t-shirt not a towel
(that alone does wonders, since towels rough up the shaft making hair get frizzy when dry)

With hair damp, soak it with leave in conditioner, then follow with garnier sleek and shine serum.
Blowdry with a round brush, follow with more sleek and shine on dry hair, flat iron.

Thats it...my is totally straight, but with body and bounce.
I used to use a humectant hairspray, but then would have stiff hair and I like my hair to mooove.

Mind you, I wear a lacefront 99% of the time, and only style it maybe a couple times a month.
If I styled it like that all the time, the heat would be hard on my hair.

Even without heat though, whenever I wash my hair, I do everything the same right up to the blowdry bit.
Then I just pull my hair back into a bun and let it air dry. If I happen to be going out, I just take it out the bun
And the top part of my hair that was pulled back stayed smooth, and the bottm part that was in a bun is wavy.
But it doesnt frizz out at all. I heart Garnier sleek and shine
Don't blink. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink!

You can try some SiliconeMix or other products like it. Go easy on it though or it will dry your hair after a few weeks.

I got some serums and that helps with the frizz, but my hair won't stay straight still. it sucks . it just gets bent and weird looking. it loosing curls too, soooo lame!

my friend got a brazilian blowout and it damaged her hair so much she had to cut it off so I'm really scared to try it.

I have very thin and super frizzy hair. What helps me is a really good blow dryer (I like solia, expensive but well worth it). Philip Kingsley elastisizer is a god sent on my hair as well as his preen cream.

Silicone-based serums can dry out hair over time and create more flyaways. I recommend using it sparingly or not at all.

If your friend's hair was damaged from a brazilian blowout she got a really, really bad stylist. Brazilian blowouts have been praised for how gentle they are on the hair. Its merely a keratin coating that fills in the weak spots in your cuticle. Unlike a perm or relaxer, it does not change the structure of your hair at all. It will also cut down on styling time. It lasts a couple of months depending on how often you wash your hair.

Maybe your friend got a Japanese straightener -a hard core relaxer. Everyone I knew who got it ended up with horrible breakage and color fading.

I have very curly hair and have tried nearly every product on the market. Here's my routine:
    -non-sulfate shampoo
    -deep condition weekly
-use products lines like Miss Jessie and Mixed chicks
-invest in a really good ceramic flat iron. the brand i use is Amika and costs about $100. the best flat iron I have ever owned. Combined with a brazil blowout, the iron goes through hair like a hot knife thru butter. I LOVE IT!
    -Get trims every 2 months
-I'm now experimenting with damp roller sets. If you use jumbo rollers, the hair wont be stick straight but will have some bounce. they do take practice so dont use them the day of something important.

It would helpful to know what your hair type is. Curly hair has so many sub-categories.
It's not about what you do for a living, it's about who you want to be.
