do you think a lot of water? what we do is soak his feet in a tub full of baking soda- it really works. once in awhile we vaseline his feet- lots of it and put plastic bags and socks over night. works like a charm for him.
we tried so many foot creams both cheap and expensive- i suggest trying simple remedies before you spend a lot of money.

we like the vaseline with the cocoa butter in it. also try vitamin e oil.
I have had this problem my whole life. It's so frustrating. Sometimes I go to the Asian mani-pedi spas and they ask me if it's my first pedicure. Very embarrassing. The only thing that really works for me is this awful smelly stuff called AmLactin Ultra. It has acids that will break down the dry skin, as well as acids that will draw moisture from the air into your skin. I put a thick layer on under socks before bed, or if I'm just sitting around at home all day. It works really well. I went from nasty cracked dry heels to normal, healthy pink feet in a week or two. Once your feet get to where you want them to be you don't have to worry about skipping a day or two, you'll notice when they start to get dried out again. I have found the best prices at walgreens and costco.
Also, a lot of my asian friends swear by this product called baby foot. It comes in a packet with two plastic booties filled with some sort of exfoliating gel that you wear around for a while. When it's time to remove them and rinse your feet you should have sheets of dry skin peel off. Here in New York you can buy it in a lot of the Asian beauty shops, but you can also find it online if you live in a city that doesn't have a lot of Asian beauty shops. I have never tried it, but the girls I know who use it have really nice feet, so if my AmLactin doesn't work, that might be worth a shot.
Lastly, you can always trek to Virginia for a doctor fish pedicure.

Do you guys wear sandals a lot? They dry your feet out! Wear tennis shoes with socks with lotion on your feet as much as possible. Wear socks with lotion on your feet around the house. Also get a foot peel from an esthetician. It takes off the top layers of dry skin. after a week of letting the dead skin fall off get a pedicure to get the last couple layers.
My feet were pretty dryed out so I went to my esthetician and this is all stuff she told me

Boyfriend has this issue. I scrape as much dead skin off in the bath as I can then slather his feet with castor oil or vaseline before bed when it's really bad. Are you eating a lot of healthy fats in your diet? You can also try oil pulling which people report make their skin really soft, however I would think that perhaps the first two options would work better.
I don't know why but even applying a TCA peel in something like 25-30% didn't do much.

Get a pedi to get rid of the excess callus or dry skin, then soak your feet in a warm bath with some vitamin e oil, jojoba oil, or coconut oil. Lather your feet with shea butter lotion while they're still damp from the bath and put some soft socks on. You might have to repeat this a few times.
Shea butter definitely. And those little metal feet scraper things to use in the shower each time.

Wow! JoJo, I did this, for about the past 2 weeks, and my dry cracked heels are completely gone! All I did was soak in baking soda mixed with warm water, then pat dry, apply lotion, and put socks on. It started working right away! I'm so amazed, honestly. Who ever thought a problem you have for so long could be solved with a couple weeks and some $1.99 baking soda??? lol!

I use a generous amount of lotion and wrap my feet up with Saran Wrap overnight. It works great!

Aquaphor. I use this for my daughters exzema and my dry cuticles. As long as I use it a few times a week at night it solves both our problems. And one tub of that stuff has lasted me a year. You don't need a lot of it to work-a small nickel sized Amount per foot should do. It's magical.

I'm in the UK so not sure if products I mention are available where you are! I have good skin everywhere apart from my feet-they get very dry from I think running, wearing daft heels for work, being on my feet a lot. I use one of these http://www.amazon.com/KOLE-IMPORTS-K...ges/B007NN30UY to get rid of dry skin on feet, then I use derma v10 body butter-It's like, £1 where I live and is REALLY good, feels great on feet. Then I put on cotton socks!I even do this for bed some nights (sexy) and in the morning I have nice feet again, I don't do it regularly enough though. Really thick body butters are great for feet, so is petroleum jelly (vaseline) but I don't like the way it feels as much as body butter.

Bag balm, bb!!!!

It happens to me too so my doctor prescribed me urea cream 20% - you can actually buy it online on amazon or something. It works wonders! After a week my feet were noticeably less cracked and softer and a month later it feels very soft !
The only thing that really work for me is this terrible stinky things known as AmLactin Super.
It has chemicals that will crack down the dry epidermis, as well as chemicals that will sketch wetness from the air into your skin.

My customer felt the need to mention to a me a couple of weeks ago that my feet have been pretty crusy the last couple of times he seen me so um yeah i will be taking this advice lol. Even though I think its just being in cold climate that does this?
Have you ever used a pumice stone or foot file? It makes my feet super smooth! After soaking in the bath or shower just use some shower gel and that, it helps to get rid of all the dry dead skin.

I swear on pure shea butter for anything related to dry skin on body(not face since that skin is more sensitive).

Hey!
So I've recently started using Esteemia Callus Away on my boyfriend's feet and it's worked wonders! Seriously. The only thing I can say is that you'll need to do it a couple of times (like, on two different nights) and buy your own scrub paddle from sally's because the one included is small and hard to use.
After two times, his feet have gone from having huge nasty cracks that he'd pick on, to being 90% smoooooth with just little tiny hairline cracks that I'm planning on attacking during the third time.
I'd absolutely buy this again. It's less than $7, and then I bought a $2.50 paddle.

Just read that coconut oil is a great anti fungal. So guess would be great for dry feet as well as keeping you from getting toenail fungus/athletes foot.

First try exfoliating with Derma Doctor KP Duty. Follow the directions. I know it's for chicken bumps but this stuff is MAGIC on feet. Scrub with a pumice stone after you let it set for 10 min or so.
After you do your regular pedicure and your polish is dry, I like taking extra virgin olive oil, slathering it on feet, wrap them loosely in saran wrap and put on socks you don't mind staining. Awesome if you are going to the gym or going to sleep, any time your feet can just sweat in 'em. Makes them super soft.
I've stopped walking around barefoot, even at home, I'll wear slippers or something, I find that helps a lot.
PS- not related to the thread but the KP Duty is awesome to exfoliate before a shave or wax. Really helps prevent ingrown hairs.
Relax and massage your foot with olive oil in a little warm form that is awesome when it comes moisturizing.Do it everyday before going to sleep that will keep them soft keep doing that for a while and see the difference.
