So Saturday nite, we have a group of bikers & their old ladies come in & they're there for a couple hours. At the very end of the nite, one of the guys decides he wants four girls to come & do a final group lap dance for the four women in the group. We all got paid up front, hustled them over to the couches since it was the last song of the nite, & got down to business ... when abt 30 seconds later the music is cut & the lights come on. 2am so it's time to kick everyone out.
All four of us hollered for one more song, & then kept grinding for another minute or so, as long as we could, trying to extend & give them their $$s worth. Two of the girls even tried to give the $$ back since we weren't able to give them the full song, but the guy who paid us said, 'Oh no baby go ahead & keep it.' Their old ladies were happy, we were happy, we thought he was happy so run to the DR before we get yelled at by the manager.
Once we're in the back getting dressed, the manager came in & called for the 4 girls who did the last dance. He was all 'Don't shoot the messenger' as he told us that the guy who paid for the dances was now demanding his $$ back since their women didn't get their full song. Of course all of us girls are shocked & furious, after we'd been told that we could keep the payment, but the manager wasn't hearing it, we told him everything & he was on abt how the new law is so strict abt him having to close & kick everyone out at 2am & there's nothing he can do abt it if the customer wants a refund.
It was a very busy nite & I think all of us were too exhausted & pissed off to try & negotiate, I was pissed w/ myself that I didn't think of trying until it was too late. The more I think on it, the more I start to think he took the customer's side b/c they were a large group that spent like mad at the bar, & for awhile now he's been hinting that the club is not doing so hot financially. It feels like he was totally ok w/ shafting us to keep these ppl as customers. It's not just the lost $$ that has me pissed off, altho that's certainly part of it -- it's the principle more than anything.
Boss held all the dancers & waitresses after closing a few wks ago to tell us abt having to bring in more customers, even going so far as to say that 'before long we may have to look elsewhere for work if things don't turn around.' Ever since that meeting, it's been in the back of my mind that maybe I should be looking for another club, but after this crap the other nite I can just feel the fury building at the thought of going into work.
Thoughts?
