    Default Considering Dancing!

I'm thinking of going into exotic dancing... I'm 18, top of my class, graduating high school early, and actually starting a nursing program in the Spring. Sadly, my home life isn't excellent and it's looking like it's in my best interest to gtfo, as sad as that may seem.
There's a topless bar right around the corner. It's an experience I've always wanted to have - the thought of dancing is very empowering, sexy, and fun in its own way. Additionally, the money would likely be a lot better for my situation than my current job. The place is a bit seedy, not awful... A lot of reviews say that there are a lot of cute overweight girls there, so... I'd fit in, aha. (5' 8" 170-175, 40-29-39, 36DD, so I would like to think I'm not just FAT)

What should I do, gals? They have a thing that says "always looking for new dancers, ask for ___!" posted on their website.
I'm wanting to check out the place, by myself, at some point, to see if I am too fat or not for the scene. Then, talk to the guy and go from there.

I'm so nervous! Please don't take offense at anything I said, aha. New here, definitely new to the scene. Any support is greatly appreciated.

Only way to get past your fear is to just go check it out. Check their website for the best time to go in. If the manager likes you, you could get hired on the spot so be prepared to come back for your start the next day.

If all else fails just grab your guy friends and try going in as a customer a few times to get the feel for the scene there.

Well remember that most girls think they are fat, but in reality they aren't. If you are unsure you can always post a few pics

But remember to dance at a further place so friends or family won't know you work there!

Just give the club a call for when the hiring manager is in, show up, check out the club for a bit, and then ask to speak with the manager. If you're so inclined, bring a bag with some work clothes so you can audition/work on the spot if they make that offer.

Make sure to ask over the phone if dancers have to be a certain age. If the club serves alcohol, you may have to be 21+ or they have some tricky rules in place to allow the under 21s to work.
