I successfully repaired my 1980's Pocket Simon game. There are similar apps but I prefer the feel of the physical buttons. Maybe this will help my abysmal short-term memory. It's frustrating.

Clancy Brown will be the Big Bad in the "Dexter" revival. That might make me actually want to see it.

I found my old Motorola Droid. It still has the Blockbuster Video app. It's pretty neat and I'm sure there are lots of useful things to do with it.

I wanted to ask the Mods if discussion of legal, medicinal marijuana is allowed here. I researched online and went to a shop, but I'm in over my head.

If you describe to the people in the shop exactly what effects you're looking to achieve they can tell you what product to go with and explain it thoroughly. At least that's how it is here in San Diego, you walk in and are assigned a person to help you.

Yes, she's on board. Definitely wanted to ask about interactions.

The people at the shop were super helpful. I was expecting them to have more edibles, though. No brownies or cookies. Also, it's expensive. The little sample pack I got (two pieces) was more than my Xanax prescription.

    I like these: https://kushypunch.com/thc-gummies/

They’re like $16 each, you cut off a small piece and eat it. One lasts me weeks.

weedmaps.com, getnugg.com, and leafly.com are helpful with knowing prices, what strains/edibles they have, strength of edibles they offer, delivery options, and what the place has to offer. Getting the highest mg amount (300-500mg) of edibles and eating a small piece makes it last a long time. Best to take it very sparing with the high mg's because you don't wanna wind up in couch lock mode LOL. Mine's lasted for months for that lift in mood (if you're not looking to get fucked up just a nice pleasant feeling and very little of it). We all have bills to pay other than buying expensive weed at the low mg's routinely haha.

    Love these ones

    https://www.leafly.com/products/deta...0&quantity=1pc
    Or these last really long!!

Stocked up on body spray and some large essential oil bottles because of the thoughtful gift card. I miss Chanel Mademoiselle perfume but I just went for a cheaper option with Victoria Secret Heavenly.

Hotel coffee: has anyone ever actually stayed in a hotel, drank the coffee made from the in-room coffee maker, and thought, "Holy fuck! This is some amazing coffee!"? No? Didn't think so. I've been to hotels everywhere in the U.S. and it seems to be mediocre everywhere. Even when I brought my own coffee, it still tasted bad made in the hotel room coffee maker.

I've stayed in hotels on six continents and I've never said that. Even in Italy, where the coffee is like the nectar of the gods, the hotel make it in your room coffee sucks. Even in Turkey. Even in Colombia.

OK honestly if you stay in select higher end hotels the in room coffee is great. I used to snag the coffee & take it home with me b/c hey, I paid for the room, I took the coffee, tea and soaps. Usually it was premium brand. I also cleaned up after myself if I brewed coffee in the room (I used to clean hotel rooms too.) Hampton Inn has great in house coffee (both the lobby coffee and the coffee provided to the rooms.)

My doctor just told me that my appointment will be telephonic. I'm disappointed because I have a lot to go through and I really hate the phone.

But her office isn't too far from the state capitol building, so it's probably a good idea.

^^^Is it a fake one from extensions? Can you see it?

I never get real lashes stuck in my eyes, usually when something is stuck it's some sort of really long thin fiber(from what I have no idea) that gets stuck in a lash and then down into my eye. The only way I can see it to get it out is by shining my phone flashlight into my eye in a mirror super close, then I can either use a q-tip or an eyelash brush to get it out.

It's a real eyelash and I woke up from a nap with it in there somehow lol. Aren't you not supposed to rub your eye to get it out? That is the first thing I always do.

^^I think you're only not supposed to rub your eye if there's something in there that's really not supposed to be in there, like sand or dirt or chemicals or glass....etc. I don't think there's any damage that a real lash can do. Keep blinking and at some point it will migrate to a part of your eyeball that borders on a lid or tear duct and then you can use a q-tip or eyelash brush to get it. At least that's what I had to do when that would happen with lash extension lashes. And those HURT. One time one went into my eye while I was driving and I immediately had to veer into someone's driveway and park so I could remove it, thank god I wasn't on the freeway.

I am assuming that you already got this taken care of, but in case it helps in the future: The version of treatment for this that I learned for First Aid purposes is to lift the edge of the eyelid away from the eye (usualy by pulling on eyelashes) and then rotating the eye to try to get the object to be nudged into the corner of the eye, and to try to get the eye to tear up and have the tears flush the object out.

Has anyone had a new prescription filled and then driven themselves into a literal panic attack over the side-effects? Ironically, it's not even a psych med this time. I can stick to reputable sites and scholarly articles and still get contradicting information.

"In rare cases, these effects may be permanent." What?! HOW rare?

Some of the meds I've been on list nightmarish side-effects that I never had. Lisa Ling did a whole CNN special on benzos, one of which is helping to calm me down right now.

And of course I'm stuck with a provider I don't trust and no one else is taking new patients. I found a doctor that sounded perfect- six month waiting list.

    Also, everything's expensive.

Totally follow up with the doctor on the 6 month waiting list just to check if it's right for you?

Lol or they amp up the mg's of the meds when you tell them the side effects you're having. Always hard to find a good psychiatrist who cares. One of mine, Seroquel, in the past was prescribed for sleep and had a black box warning on it (never was told that) can cause tardive dyskinesia (apparently for the elderly I dunno...but I had it as a teen). I was shocked the psychiatrist never mentioned it and he kept upping the dosage when it stopped working.

I had one removed by the eye doctor. My eye had turned red, so I went to see an eye doctor. She looked at my eye and said there was an eyelash in it, causing irritation. She removed it and gave me eye drops. It was very uncomfortable.

I just talked to my psychiatrist yesterday (who is pretty good) about very slowly tapering off Seroquel. It does help me sleep, but it feels like it has total control of my sleep. If I want to stay up later, too bad. And if I forget to take it just once... total insomnia. It feels like I drank a half-dozen Red Bulls.
