    EXACTLY!

I confess that I still get more upset when I see the little dogs and kitties mistreated, but being cute doesn't mean you suffer more when someone tortures and murders you.

“You” who? I didn’t say anything about abortion and my comment was taken down.

The same comment was literally posted twice by someone else but my comment was taken down. AND my last comment was edited with the reason that I mentioned abortion. I never did that.

Really? Maybe I missed it. I saw the reported post which a member was upset about, came here and deleted it--and your post quoting it exactly.

Please, show me where someone else tried to start shit about abortion here. I'll delete their post as well, and anyone quoting them exactly.

No, of course you didn't, but you quoted the guy trying to start shit about abortion exactly. Which leaves the inflammatory statement intact in your quote. Not much point getting rid of the one without the other.

I wasn't blaming you, I was explaining standard moderation procedure for the last 15 years--when someone tries to start shit, you delete the post. If someone just below has quoted the post in its entirety, you delete that post as well.

Now if you have a problem with that, feel free to start a thread in site issues. We don't need to discuss it here any further.

You keep saying that I quoted something verbatim when I did not. I really can’t say it enough. I made a comment about how “confrontational” it is to call someone a souless monster for eating meat - asking her if my 3 yr old falls in line with being such a demon sense she had a hot dog yesterday. That comment was taken down. Then “The Grand Inquistor” mentioned an abortion video. Her comment was taken down so she put it back up asking “why was this deleted?”. You can see her ask that on the page right before this one.

I only know how to speak English so let me say once more that I did not say anything about abortion, so I don’t need to start my own thread about it. I’ve had my own abortions so I’m the last person you’ll ever see talking about it.

Swear to God I’m not trying to talk to you crazy so if that’s how it reads, I apologize. Just trying to nail it in that I. Did. Not. Say. That.

I just saw a thumbnail for a 'news' article with this title:

“Kylie Jenner reveals trying cereal with milk for the first time was 'life changing'... and her fans go berserk over the news“

Can someone stop the world and direct me to the place I can get off pls?

I thought the same thing when I saw all the headlines. Not sure how that qualifies as groundbreaking news - lol. I also think she's trolling everyone. I really can't imagine making it to 21 without EVER having milk in your cereal. That family knows how to get people talking.

I went back and restored your post, after deleting the quote from the guy starting shit about abortions. It's all just a big misunderstanding. I'm just trying to keep the peace after the post you had quoted was reported. Now hopefully we can move on.

Today is my first outing with friends since the break up. Wish me luck. I didn't want to do the whine and cry thing which is why I've waited 4 weeks to go out.
My family and counselor have been supportive. I'm looking forward to some drinks / relaxing time / man scoping !

Not sure how long you were with the guy you just broke up with, but might be better to wait a bit more on the 'manscoping'. Find your own inner peace without some new guy making it possible, or even attention from guys.

Time after time I see women (and men too) bounce from one bad relationship to another, because they never learned to be really self-reliant.

Anyway have fun, you deserve a night out

Hmm, does he really bring everyone's kids to the cars? Maybe he only does it with certain kids' moms, or does it more reliably? Maybe he feels the same about you, you never know...

    Good Advice, DJoser, thanks

It's really hard to be celibate but you are right. I don't want to attract any creepy energy.
We were together 7 years almost exactly.

I love nerdy / brainy guys and the event was for scientists ( I am not but my friend is ) so I have an "in" at these events.
There is booze so where these people might be too shy to chat in normal situations, they may chat here. There is potential at these for sure. I will go next month too.

Broken up 4 weeks but I didn't even think he was serious for a week so I'm thrown off anyway. It was nice to get out, attend an easy to digest lecture , and then go drink. Perfect event for me.

The silver lining in this is that I do love having full control over my ENTIRE schedule. I have definitely found things to do in my city. It's nice to have a phase of very hard hustle by day and then outings that I get to pick ( without having to think of anyone ! ). There is probably more silver linings that I'll find in the next few weeks I'll continue to focus on some positives.

Ha 7 years was the longest I made it with one woman, and part of that was long distance--that's a long time to be with any one SO (in my book, if not in the minds of Family Values types).

That independence you are only just beginning to enjoy will grow on you as time goes by, trust me.

I've been really serious with 4 women. Though I have great respect for all 4 of them still, and wish them well, I thank all the gods I am free of them now

Recently watched 3 1/2 episodes of the recent mini-series 'Spartacus', being a big fan of Roman history, gladiators, and well-done cinematic battle scenes.

    I can tell you that:

    1) There's plenty of mayhem and fight scenes, fairly well done if somewhat too reliant on the cinematic style of 300, speaking of which:

    2) I just had more than enough scenes of guys in various kinds of underwear disguised as 'period gladiator costumes' & leather thongs to last me a couple of lifetimes.

    3) The gratuitous sex scenes--half of which were quasi 'rape fantasy' fare--were as cheezy and melodramatic as you can get, finally leading me to automatically fast forward to the fight scenes of guys in kinky underwear hacking and slashing each other to bits.

I would recommend this series highly to the ladies, for it is clearly aimed in their direction, and also (with aforementioned caveat) to fans of battle scenes. Oh and some of the gladiator ensembles (and other minutiae) were actually historically accurate, even if the series did take great liberties with other aspects of Roman history and culture.

I wiiiissshhh. But, no, he brings everyone’s child to their car and even has someone else help him do it to be more efficient. He gives me “happily married with two kids” vibes and I don’t know why. Or maybe that’s just my ego trying to protect itself from the lack of flirting on his part.

On one hand .... I was on a film set today surrounded by cowboys! You could tell some were real ones ( 80 % !! ) and some were just dressed up ( 20% ) . They all seemed to married though, ugh.

One the other, I got back from set and made this stupid mistake of calling my ex of all people to entertain me on the ride home.....

I'm not really sure what I was thinking other than just " up at 4a.m. for a 16 hour day " brain.
