Default How to talk to sad customers?

I got into vip with this very drunk guy who turned out to be a nice guy just very sad about breaking up with his gf/being in a work situation running into her or something. He stayed a long time and went between being horny, silly and almost crying. At the end of the night he said he was so happy that i had just been nice to him. He was really drunk but he seemed the perfect customer in terms of just wanting escape in vip.

I'm not good at all with sympathy or comforting anyone! So I felt pretty awkward when he was spilling and getting upset... I said some things baout how it will be ok but I didn't want to stay ont he subject in case he just broke down!

He might be back this weekend, if he is I'd like to be more prepared to have the right talk to hlep him relax and stay in vip with me again. How do you handle this type of customer?

I deal with a lot of men going threw divorces, break ups or guys that are sad or upset about one thing or another...I tell them they will get threw it, just like I would a friend. I might tell them about a situation I was in, or a time in my life when I was sad and tell them I got threw it. And that I learned more about myself because of it. I'm an optimistic person so I try to see the positive side of everything! Anyway tell him you care, and to come back, and that you'll listen to him and be there for him as much as you can on his trips to the club!
    Hope this helps!

I think you handled it well. You definitely want to comfort the client and acknowledge what they're going through, but certainly not dwell on the situation. They're at the club to be entertained and get their mind off their sadness, so you want to change the topic to something happier to get him in a better mood. I'm not great at coming up with comforting words (it's alright, it'll be okay, don't worry, it'll work out... all super repetitive) so I focus on comforting the client with touch. Rub their back and shoulders, give hugs, play with their hair, run your fingers on their arms and the back of their neck. Say the occasional comforting comment when the conversation calls for it (ie. silence) but touch goes a long way! Also, don't ask prying questions; they'll only lead to more sadness and then he won't ever shut up. Of course, this could be a sneaky tactic to keep him in the VIP, but you can clearly be just as successful with that by trying to make them feel better.
