Default Waitresses dancing for customers; thoughts?

I have this friend that started serving in a club in the Fort Hood area, and she told me that servers were allowed to sell dances just like dancers. They aren't allowed in the dancer's DR nor they are allowed to dance in the main stage (they are allowed in the satellite stages). I personally don't like servers or bartenders dancing, for this can interfere with dancer's earnings.

I wouldn't like to work in such a club.

Jay12, I 100 percent agree with you! That doesn't sound fair. They are taking money from dancers when they are already: A) getting tips for serving and B) an hourly pay. (I don't know about you but dancers don't get paid by the hour where I live)

A job is a job. Just like in a restaurant they aren't going to allow the dishwasher to go serve a table so they can make extra cash, they shouldn't allow a server to dance.

Yeah... our waitress sells dances and it annoys the living fuck out of me.

She gets paid. She gets tips. And dancers can't talk to a customer until she serves them, so she gets first shot at every guy in the club.

I've heard from that friend of mine that waitresses are also IC just like dancers and that only the DJ, the bartenders and the bouncers/managers (they double as bouncers as well) get hourly wages.

It's annoying from a dancer perspective because customers always want what they can't have, and since waitresses are generally the only women in the club NOT getting naked, that means they want them extra bad. So, if the club allows waitresses to get naked and give dances, that shifts the customer attention to "convincing" the hot waitress to give them a dance instead of spending money on the actual dancers. Great for the waitresses who are comfortable with that though, especially if they can charge as much as they want for dances. Double win for management if they take a cut of the waitresses' dance earnings, which is certainly the least they could do to make the playing field a bit more fair.

I would demand a tip-out from the waitress like the djs and bartenders and other staff do to dancers. You are the dancer bringing clients there, so the waitress should owe a fee to each dancer for their service to her of supplying the clientele that she danced for. Each dance she does she should owe a fee to each dancer.....Lol , hey it would be fair

I have worked at a club where customers could book for private dances/VIPS etc...
It made for an aggressive, and over competitive environment...waitresses would hustle your customers (inside the club and inside the LD area), charge more than us and cut our grass. The waitresses often sat with customers (getting tipped for it) so that we couldn't approach, some said negative things about the dancers to customers (so they would take them instead) and paired up/followed around some of the top earners to try and weasel into their shows. The waitresses also got commission for drinks and would push champagne onto customers and if you “didn't want anything/weren't drinking alcohol” they would give you a talking to about “not supporting them”.There were ALWAYS dancers complaining about waitresses and vice versa-it was a headache for management, so I don't know why they bothered allowing it all.

I've worked in a place like this and it sucks. it wasn't so much the part where they were taking $$ away, tho I def hated that and thought it was unfair, but the part where they would be busy when customers needed drinks. since dancers can't serve drinks and a lot of customers wanted a drink before a dance, I would have to wait extra long to get my dances. not cool at all.

I'm one of many waitresses that also dance at my main club and have no problems with the dancers at all. My club is all hustle about the $ and its not very profitable to be worrying about what the next chick is doing. I pay my house fees just like everyone else so I really dont see how there could be any problems. If you are getting naked and feeling like you cant compete with a clothed chick, perhaps your game isnt as tight as it should be.

I make sure everyone has their drinks covered (which in my club is $10 x 8 and you MUST pay for out of your own pocket if you dont get them bought for you) and alert girls to dudes with fat wallets, there's absolutely nothing to hate. If anything I have girls being extra (sometime fake) nice to me, just to get on my good side.

When I worked in ND @ the Northern, they had a "Topless waitress night". Maybe have a designated day of the week for something similar.

I feel like the waitresses are already getting tipped for serving drinks. Why the hell should they take away from the dancers by dancing? Its already hard enough to make money by dancing. Waitresses who do that are spoiled..That would really suck...

Can you sell dances while waitressing or do you dance and waitress on different nights? Huge difference and it sort of sounds like you're the latter.

Also, dancers not wanting to compete with waitresses being able to sell dances while waitressing has nothing to do with how tight their game is. It's an unfair playing field and similar to management letting any old chick waltz into the club and start selling lap dances without paying a house fee or playing by the rules.

    ^Exactly.
This post is not about waitresses, bartenders or lady managers who also double as dancers on different days/shifts but about waitresses (and some bartenders and lady managers) who dance AND serve simultaneously.

At my main club, the waitresses are allowed to sell dances during their shift. We pay all house fees and are responsible for selling ladies drinks just like the dancers. I still take drink orders, clean the pole, serve customers etc... everything I am responsible for and am not sitting with custies preventing anyone from getting their hustle on.

I am also a dancer (only) at other clubs that allow waitresses to sell dances and they only have to payout the fees per dance, no house fee or sell drinks. Does it bother me? nope. Is it fair? thats not my call to make. But guess what life isnt fair and if I dont like the club's policies I could always go work elsewhere. When I am working my goal is to be #1 and sell the most dances and short of the club getting shut down for the night, there arent any circumstances that are going to prevent me from banking. period. It is my own responsibility and if I fall short of my usual goal, the only person I have to point a finger at is myself.

Personally, I would be embarassed and probably stop stripping if a waitress ever sold more dances than I did while in beast mode.

(not trying to start a debate, just my .02)

I think as long as the waitresses have to pay some sort of fee (be it a house fee like you have to do or a per dance fee like at those other clubs) to be able to make money off selling lap dances, it's as fair as it can be in a lame situation. Ideally, waitresses serve and dancers strip though.

I get what you're saying about it being your own responsibility to bank and sell dances, but when the 'forbidden' (waitresses) becomes attainable, it makes the dancers far less interesting to the customers because there's no challenge in getting a dance from them.

I'm Black which is "forbidden" to alot of guys. So does the fact that I'm now 'attainable' make other girls far less interesting? hmmm. I have tits the size of a toddlers head, that could be considered 'forbidden', does that too make other girls less interesting? There are so many variables which could potentially make any girl less interesting when compared to another I suppose but where does it end.

At the end of the day if you cannot come across as insanely too good to pass up, the customer is going to find you unappealing and move on. Regardless of waitress, other dancer, whatever. If you do not believe you are a perfect 10, why would anyone else. Every customer that walks through the door "thinks" they know what they are ideally looking for/attracted to but is actually any girl's for the taking if you play your cards right. It is up to you to sell yourself and seal the deal and if you cannot for whatever reason, its silly to blame someone else for it. No one can take money out of your hands that you havent already started to let slip through your fingers.

a custie told me about a club he visited. He didn't think any dancers were attractive but thought the best lookin chic was the bar tender. Fortunately - manager told him she was available for dances. $25 instead of regular $20 from dancers and she would only take her shirt off - not the bra. Custie said not fun - but that's what he had to do to make somethin out of a dead night.

Another custie told me he knows when a club is on its way down and out, if the waitresses are more attractive than dancers. These are places with bad vibes.

I'll explain what else he said some other time. Very true. (Just done reading the beautiful Law of Attraction posts - and getting the self esteem back ! very true - to look beautiful - i have to feel beautiful first )

The point in here is each one recognizing their role in the club. Servers serve drinks and food, while the dancers are there to amuse. Customers go there to see the dancers, and if a server wants to dance, then she should switch to be a dancer.

If a customer is more "amused" by the waitress, then you arent fulfilling your end of that bargain, she is. Clubs are open to make money and it really doesnt matter (in my case at least) who it comes from and it's fair game for anyone to make their money however they see fit. Dont hate the player, hate the game. We all have choices and none of us (at least I hope not) are forced to work anywhere we dont feel comfortable. My clubs allow for certain things that I understand most dont and I'm super grateful for it. If the ladies I work with dont have a problem with it, I am surely not going to be bothered by some girls on the interwebs that do.

    Lets just agree to disagree.

A black dancer or a dancer with big tits is still a dancer selling dances, not a waitress playing two roles. It's just another way for the club to make money without considering the dancers, but I'm glad it's working out so well for you.
