What is 'business'? I'm so confused!
For I am a female, you see

I have... never purchased a calendar in my whole entire complete total life. Am I alone here? Why are they less discounted than everything else? Are they really getting that rare and attractive? And... why animal calendars? Men don't like animals? So... much... my brain... agh! >.<"
If I wanted you, I could have you.

Why talk politics when I could bake a nice pie!
I just want to beat my heat against my desk repeatedly.

Unfortunately this goes on in stores too and at early ages. Recently I was shopping and went into a toy store. I saw "girls" areas and "boys" areas and the girls had things like that Rose Petal Cottage (if you really want to get annoyed watch that sexist commercial)and cooking toys. Because after all, all girls love to cook and clean. Boys had toys like video games, and electronics. I was beyond angry. Why even have gender aisles anyway?
I hate stereotypes in all respects. I hate cooking and cleaning and am more into electronics and "male" things. I'd rather workout than go shopping and shoes are just what I wear on my feet. I get more excited about video games than cooking utensils and in fact really can't cook (though I make fantastic scrambled eggs, which is about the limit of my cooking). I do not attend women only bridal or baby shower and in the event I get married or have a baby my shower will be coed without lame ass games (I hate these games). I always hated wearing dresses because they got messy when I climbed a tree or played in mud.

wow. i would like 4 out of 6 of the 'men's' ideas and 0 of the womens. Well ok, maybe the animal calendar as well.

Yeah that commercial is just horrific. I think I commented on that one on YouTube under my Youtube name but I wouldn't buy a daughter or my niece that just because of the commercial. Those comments though are just so misogynist and I wish those were all trolls, but sadly many people still believe in gender roles. There were still many idea what it was like to be a girl when I was small, but I had hoped we had moved beyond it.

I also cringed when I saw this. I like graphic novels, and I hate celebrities.

I did a presentation about this a couple semesters ago. I actually went to Target and went down the boy's toys aisle and then the girl's toy aisle. The boy's toys were more technologically advanced and required building-type skills a lot of the time. The girl's toys included some role-playing stuff (cheerleaders and princesses) and many toys that imitated household chore items such as vacuums, ovens, shopping carts, babies that pee and cry (thats as far as technology goes in the girl's section).
I'm raising a little girl. I think she is turning out to be very girly. She is going to be 3 in a couple months. I would have to say that she mostly imitates what I do but has her own flare in there, too. She is definitely more girly than me naturally as she loves lip gloss and things of that sort although she only sees me putting it on a couple times a week if I am getting ready for work (most of the time she'll be in bed already). I also only wear chucks/running shoes/vans but have plenty of heels, she puts them on and shuffles around the house in them. Likewise, because I am a single mom I do some housework that requires tools and she tries to imitate that. I am trying to encourage her to be/do what she likes and is comfortable with so I had no problem buying her a tool set of her own to play with. She also has a shopping cart (hey she sees me grocery shopping) and a doctor's kit (stethoscope, syringe, thermometer etc). I let her have a say so in clothes shopping and picking toys. She is definitely girly but if she does like some boy things she can have them, too. I always told myself I wouldn't raise my daughter to be a girly girl, I even painted her room blue (a very pretty pale blue) when she was born. I also like the name I chose because its strong and is more commonly used for boys instead of girls. In the end though, she is her own person and if she wants to go to beauty school and bake on her free time, I'm all for it if that is what will make her happy. It would be wrong to tell her there are only certain things she can do in this world, but I was wrong for thinking I could make her to be a tough cookie and mold her to be what I wanted. I think its just as bad, actually.
Mona Lisa Smile was a good movie.

I would prefer an animal calendar to a business book anyday. And I'm a business major! I love business but I think men are more likely to spend their personal time thinking about work. On my personal time I'd much rather look at cute animals and bake. I'm totally ok with traditional gender roles because I dont feel anyone shoving them down my throat. I can bake and do accounting simultaneously lol.
