    Default Silk Bed Sheets

I'm thinking of investing in a pair of silk bed sheets. These will most likely be my X-mas gift to myself. Apparently the amino acids in the silk is beneficial for your hair and skin. What are your experiences with silk sheets?

They're slippery. My cover slide right off the bed. So does my pillow. ANNOYING! Other than that I love them.

I love them. I can only use satin or flannel sheets because all other textures annoy me.

I personally don't like them. Satin and silk make a weird noise to me and feel TOO soft/slippery. It's never warm enough (like down) but if it's really hot out silk is so sticky feeling like it doesn't breathe... I also snag it easily but maybe this is just me. I loveee down comforters and fluffy things. So warm and snuggly.

Silk is one of the most difficult fabrics to clean...dry clean only, and the satin weave will make them prone to snagging. IMO not the best fabric for sheets since you need to be able to clean them easily and frequently. Silk pillow shams and duet covers that you take to the dry cleaner a few times a year are one thing but to take your sheets in every week or two? I think you'll get annoyed really fast. If you want the texture, go for the satin texture but in a synthetic fabric so they will be washable.

I just checked my sheets-they aren't pure silk, they're synthetic, but same texture!

I've never had them myself but have slept on them in hotels/other people's houses and I didn't like them at all.
I found them slippery, and this'll sound gross but my toenails against them felt gross-proper cringeworthy noise and feeling, same if you have any patch of dry skin (knees/feet) even slightly then seem to create some sort of staticity or something? The feeling made me cringe lol.
I won't use silk for other reasons but I do sleep on satin or similar fabric pillows, because it's meant to be better for your hair and facial skin.

I had sateen ones. Not a big fan of them personally though on a hot summer night, they're very cool at first which is nice.

Be sure, if you get this or any slippery bedsheet to get bedsheet suspenders to make sure the corners don't come slipping up (otherwise they will.)

Give me a good thick flannel or solid cotton that's been washed a lot and I love the softness.

Experience the feeling of sheer luxury with Amour Silk range of the highest grade long fiber mulberry silk.
We believe that our wonderful silk products will definitely give you a great sleep.
Silk is graded on an A, B, and C scale. Each letter indicated a different type of silk product quality. A being the finest, highest quality silk product and C being the lowest. The Number takes the grading and makes it a step further. For instance you could have 3A, 5A, or 6A. Which 6A being the highest. So when you see a silk product that is graded 6A, you can confirm that that is the finest quality of that specific type of silk that you can buy.You can read my profile of Home Page to viwe all

I found them way too slippery to use both fitted and top sheet together. I toss and turn a lot and my blankets would just slide off in no time.. However, I do use the fitted sheet (with a regular cotton top sheet) in summer because it definitely keeps me cooler, and I use the pillowcases every night. So it's just the top sheet that never gets used. It was one of my treats to myself once I started making good $$ and I don't regret it. I wash mine on the gentlest cycle in cool water and they have lasted a couple of years already... treat yo self!

Eeek satin sheets give me this sleazy porno vibe laying on them ( dunno why lol they aren't even used in pornos)

I dated this guy who had them and brought his 2 large pit bulls on the bed with us to sleep with his silk sheets and it was so off-putting. Kindly get your large ass dogs a dog bed if we are "not there yet" and just dating.
