I think it depends on what kind of legal form it is? Camming is completely legal so you wouldn't face charges or anything if someone found out, but there are certain professions such as any type of work with children that will deny you a job if you are found out to be a cam girl. Not because it is illegal, but because it violates their morality clause.
When I went to open up a new savings account with my bank they closed the account because they said I didn't fill out the applications correctly. I had put down "self employed" under occupation but they needed to know what I was doing specifically- self-emplyed writer, self-employed lawyer, self-employed musician, etc. So in that case I HAD to list my occupation as webcam model. What kind of form do you need to fill out?
Food stamp forms, medicaid forms...

^ Hmm, I don't have any experience with that myself but I would think you have to be honest about your income since that's how they determine what you are eligible for. So I definitely wouldn't *not* list it, but maybe you can list your occupation as "independent contractor" or "online sales" as opposed to "webcam model"? I'm sure someone who's been through the process can give you some better input, though![]()

Is it enough you put only model not webcam model? In a bank of course they can see where your money comes from..

Just put down the company with a copy of your check... they want verification Im sure. They are not going to ask on there for a job description and if the the social worker asks, you are part of the customer service team. (we do service customers) Good luck!

I have direct experience as far as the Food Stamp forms.
I'm in Nebraska, so it might be different for your state, but here's what I did:
I called the hotline when I started the sign up process and told the lady that I'm a self-employed webcam model. She said she'd send me self-employment forms for income verification and that she would mark my job down as "Model".
In my state, you're required to work at least 30 hours a week to be eligible for benefits, so the forms will have you write out each separate pay period, how much you made per check, and how many hours you worked per month.
They didn't require any copies of my checks. Honestly, it was kinda scary how easy it was.
I was just upfront honest with them, and it wasn't an issue. The lady I talked to even said, "That sounds like a great job- not my cup of tea, but to each their own". Lol.

I put mine down as "self employed model & photographer" since i take photos of myself and it sounds better haha. And if anyone was to ask what kind of model I would simply say "Nude Art Form" or "Adult" I wouldn't say CAMGIRL. Cause then I'd leave myself open to people who didn't know what a camgirl was asking me "whats that?" and having to explain lol.
Many thanks!! This question had been bugging me >.< Would you guys tell the court of law that? If you had to go to court for a legal issue and they ask if you are working.? I have court today. And may have to go in the near future. For some reason it would make me nervous.? But hey, court makes me nervous in general. Eff that s***.

I would NOT tell them I a webcam model, just that I am a self-employed independent contractor and I work in online sales, but that's only because I have had a bad experience with a police detective discriminating against me after I told him what I do. Long story short my man beat the crap out of me more than once. The first time he was put in jail. I got him out. The second time the same detective came to the scene and implied that it's not a huge deal and probably some BDSM thing that I WANTED, and then let him off scott free- even though he tied me up and beat me until I had a concussion. The po po around here are racist fucks who will judge you based on who they think you are, and your employement, well, we all know that people who aren't so enlightened are prone to judge us. That is the LAST time I will EVER trust the authorites so no, I wouldn't tell them diddly squat more than I had to.
Thank you for telling me that. Seriously because there are a few crooked cops out where I caught trouble. Not sayin' all but yeah there's some. I got arrested unlawfully and left in jail when the cop knew he was wrong! But yeah the town is small and once you get in trouble you are known there FOREVER. =/. And that's why I'd be nervous to mention what I do as far as working. Cause they could always hold it against me. Ugh some authorities you just can't trust =/.

Amen, girl. It's sad because like I said, there is NOTHING illegal about camming. But, once some people get it in their heads that you are "no good" due to what you do for a living there's nothing stopping them from trying to screw you over on some other nonsense. In my personal life I tell everyone that I am a cam girl and have no shame in my game but when it comes to legal stuff I will definitely be keeping it on the DL.

It always depends on the "why". If you are going to court as a defendant - for anything, even a parking ticket - you want the judge to view you in the most sympathetic light possible. Obviously. And frustratingly, working in the adult industry can often make people view you in a bad light. So I would simply say "online sales" "affiliate marketing" "live web help" or "model/photographer". Don't tell an outright LIE, because if you are found out, it will make things much worse, but just give yourself a slightly more vanilla job title.
Usually, they simply want to be able to categorize you, or it is standard procedure, and they aren't going to be shining a light in your eyes about it. If there is something financial going on (alimony, non-payment, debts) then they want to be able to garnish wages or find out how much you are making, and then it is the "self employed" part that matters, not the actual job. They will want to see bank statements to find out what you are making, but probably don't care how you make it.
I take cash, debit or credit. I just don't take shit.
