    Default Hypocrisy much?

Remember, It's not that people like him don't want people to have access to guns, they just don't want you and I having access to them. You know, the "wrong" hands and all that. Their lives are very important and worthy of protection...

Last week, Illinois state Sen. Donne Trotter added a congressional candidacy to his resume. On Wednesday, he added a felony charge of attempting to board an aircraft with a weapon. Sentencing guidelines for the single criminal count call for between one and three years in prison.
Trotter’s official biography on the website of the Illinois Department of Public Health describes him as “an advocate of gun control.”
Police say Trotter tried to get a loaded .25 caliber handgun through a security checkpoint at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport around 7:00 Wednesday morning. The weapon was in his carry-on bag and loaded with seven rounds, a TSA spokesman told WBBM-TV2, Chicago’s CBS affiliate. There wasn’t a round in the gun’s chamber.

Yet this douchebag plans to run for congress in my district since corrupt asshole (can you tell I love the politicians here?)Jesse Jackson retired because of "medical" reasons aka he knew the feds were coming for him. The whole race is full of these nuts, including one guy who served prison time for underage sex. There is one woman who I do endorse for this race, a moderate pro choice, pro gun rights former congresswoman (and disclosure I've met her as we know many of the same people). However because she is white she doesn't get many of the endorsements (in this district we have many people who vote strictly on race). Last time because she is pro gun rights, she lost the endorsement of Planned Parenthood and they lost any future money from me (and what gun rights has to do with abortion is beyond me). If she loses the primary and one of the nutjobs/anti gun/welfare increases wins, I will vote for the Republican even if I disagree with him.

But to answer your question, yes these politicians want to outlaw guns no matter what except for themselves and of course gangs. They are in cahoots with the anti gun people in Illinois who are in cahoots with all the other groups. My opinion is we have the 2nd Amendment and guns are a RIGHT. When politicians try to ban them they are disobeying the Constitution. I am not saying there should be unrestricted gun buying, not at all, but law abiding citizens deserve to own guns, especially since many places outlaw them while the gangs still have them.

Whirlez you are completely on the mark. Illinois does suck especially Cook County (aka Crook County). Government officials are overpaid while they cut salaries of hard workers, they cut social services to disabled and the elderly will increasing it for illegals and welfare queens, government jobs are full of corruption. There is so much I dislike about this state and it disgusts me.

I have actually, to Indiana but at this time can not. My life is here and luckily I moved out of Cook County so I don't deal as much with this crap like I used to when I worked and lived in Cook (and worked for government agencies).
