Hi Ladies,
I found this thread http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...by-advertisers!!
by googling a question, because I'm having a problem with adultsearch stealing my content.
I typically use backpage and am very happy with it, but as Tabitha Cooks points out, Adultsearch (and many other crappy "wannabee-BP" parasite-sites, but mostly Adultsearch), is frequently cold-calling to hassle me to advertise on their site, and when I decline, they just steal my ad-content from BP and post it on their site anyway, often incorrectly.
Example: I am incall-only, but currently Adultsearch has my stolen ad up, with my phone number, saying "outcall only".
So now I have to field calls requesting outcalls, even though my real ad clearly states that I am unavailable for outcalls.
So far I have gotten around this by just frequently changing my number so I can be sure that when a call comes in, it is coming directly from my own ad, and not stolen content on one of these annoying Parasite-Sites.
I'm very limited in my services and low-volume so I'm not trying to "establish a brand" or "build a business presence on the web" or anything; I'm very casual, and though I love being in this line of work, I prefer to stay anonymously on the sidelines, so changing my number frequently is not a big deal, and so far, I figure it's easier than attempting to contact these ParaSite Sites directly (most of whom are anonymous blogs who you can't contact anyway even if you try) and argue with each of them individually about removing my content, which they probably won't do anyway, since stealing my content in the first place already proves that they are unreputable, IMO, so I'd rather avoid attempting to deal with them directly at all, if possible.
But I'm starting to really feel bad for whoever gets my old phone numbers after I change mine, because if anyone googles that number in the future, for all eternity on the web, it's gonna pull up a bunch of old, stolen ads of mine on sites I never wanted anything to do with in the first place.
And now when clients search my pics, they will come up with a bunch of fake crap that I never posted.
I am not liking this at all, let me tellya!
Am just curious about any ladies' experiences in contacting sites and requesting that they remove your content that they've stolen. How much of a hassle do they give you about it? Is there any chance of getting them to do what you ask and remove the content, or are sites who are willing to steal content more likely to retaliate by posting unflattering things about you if you ask them to remove it?
I am really just trying to do my tiny business, and do it well, and be left the hell alone, without getting involved in any counter-productive disputes with sites who want to be "big-time-players" and are willing to steal content in order to fill up their site.
Personally, in my mind, I see them as no better than guys who approach us on the street or in the club and say "Hey honey, why don't you come and work for ME?", but.... that's just me.
Your thoughts?
Mods, I'm new here, sorry if this is in the wrong area, please move it if it is...
