Default New Orleans clubs in Jan-Feb???

I'm planning on traveling and trying out a new club for a week or so in January or February. I've heard New Orleans is decent. Several dancers and even customers have said positive things about it. I was wondering if anyone has any info on a particular club, knows what the hustle is like, etc. Rick's Cabaret is a club I was thinking of trying, in case anyone has experience with that. Any info you have, let me know. Thanks!

January and february are going to be the most epic months in recent NOLA dancing history...sugar bowl will be coming January 2nd and the superbowl will be here in february not to mention all the conferences and conventions in between...the boat show was recently out here last weekend and my dancer BFF clocked 3k in 2 hours last thursday. I suggest Ricks cabaret if you can get hired...they are not very partial to black dancers there and it took me a couple of attempts and some dancer networking to get in over there...but I think it's got the most money in the quarter. Penthouse is great as well...it's more the party club and good for quantity (like individual dances moreso than champagnes) if you like just zoning out and making stage money and table dances. I think that is where the young athletes and party boys will pop bottles during large events. I've tried Babe's Cabaret and banked there because they only run about 15 dancers in comparison to ricks (60+) and Penthouse (60-80+) but they are heavy on fees and require a schedule. I would stay away from any other clubs.....they are not safe and aren't worth the fees and the time required to work there. She She's is the black club but it's not in the quarter...the money is decent in there and the staff is cool..but again, a sketchy area. Hustler would be a last resort...only because they have high house fees and room fees and I think a schedule...since they are owned by Deja Vu I'm sure they report income...Any particulars and you can just PM me.

Well I'm sorry you came at the wrong time...again, it depends on the girl and her skill level. Me and my dancer girls have traveled as a pack for over 2 years and we all have over 5-10 years of dancing experience not to mention sales and marketing training. We average about 2500-3500 a week give or take with the exception of this month. The Boat show was EXCELLENT this year at Rick's cabaret. Ricks is the king of the bourbon strip clubs. With dances that are $60, floor non-touch table dances at $20 and VIPs at 500 a half hour and 1000 for an hour...private champagnes @ 2500 an hour its not hard to make money there. Penthouse is more consistent within the 300-500 daily range because they do get more volume. DO NOT KNOCK the LOCALS...they happen to be the ones to direct tourists and business partners to specific girls and will spend although perhaps not in whale size proportions. There are a few smaller conventions as I do have the taxi driver official event list but nothing too big except SUGAR BOWL...I did amazing last year.

Michele11 I have no reason to exaggerate earnings on here, I just happen to room with one of the top earners at Rick's...she doesn't do less than 4K a week but she is well established here in NOLA and has been dancing at Ricks for many years. She's smart, GORGEOUS, well-maintained and well educated so her money reflects that.

Over all, NOLA will be excellend

^ Did you read my post? I'm in baton rouge. I've worked in nola for years too and manhattan, chicago, dallas, top clubs all over the country. Usually a good week for me is 4-5000 I t=travel with many girls here who can attest to that. Boat show last year wasn't to my standards. Also insecure much? I never said you inflated your earnings. I know who yoiu are and your old screen name.....

Insecure? haha...not it. You knowing who I am is irrelevant to this post. I am just putting out the information based on my experiences and the experiences of the dancer I am currently here in New Orleans with right now. I hope you are doing well in Baton Rouge. After all, NO CLUB is doing well by anyone's standards. But I still stand by NOLA and its clubs as being one of the best places to dance currently from my experiences. And if you read my post I never said anything about inflating MY earnings. AGAIN...to answer Nina's question: Nola is a great place to dance, just come early enough to audition and get hired on for the big events

So is this not a good club for traveling dancers???
I'm stuck between Houston & NOLA and I can't be married to a stripper schedule right now. I need flexible hours.

Not gonna argue....you did say you don't inflate your earnings, I never claimed you did. I've been dancing in nola for 7 years. I'm here right now with a fellow S.W. member. Maybe I'll see ya tonight.

I thought the boat show was awful, I found you had to totally weed through a dozen idiots to get to a gem. I had a $20,000+ November however. NOLA is good, Ricks rarely hires black dancers though. I like Ricks Saloon also if I'm feeling more casual with super low house fee.

Also, keep in mind about a thousand other girls have the same idea so get here early or call ahead there will be girls applying constantly and the better clubs will be hardest on your process to get hired. But yes, Jan-Feb will likely be insane, bring a coat it is freezing . And you can always PM me I've got good advice on where to stay etc xxo

Rick's has always been a good club to me as a traveling dancer, but as previously stated, they are really strict on their hiring procedures. So much so that they started a whole new "fat list" of girls who either have to tone up and lose weight or be fired before Sugar/Super Bowl. Strict dress code too - but it is worth it to keep the reputation of the classiest club on Bourbon. I couldn't fathom having to admit that I worked at Temptations or something. LOL. Having said that, it is an okay club for traveling dancers - just keep in mind you have to work at least every three months or they make you re-audition and will give away your locker if you are lucky enough to get one. Penthouse probably is the easiest club to work at as a traveling dancer because they have a more lenient dress code, the prices aren't as steep (so you have a lot of the young bucks actually buying dances and going upstairs, etc.) and there is a lot less mind fuckery over there I'm told (the girls at Rick's are pretty competitive and at times cut throat), the house fees are lower, and they do not require a schedule. Hope this helps.

Thanks ladies, I'm totally late to this thread now but I will keep NOLA in mind... I also want to try Denver because there's a chance I'll be moving there for grad school in a year and a half. Basically I want to go to the big-money cities. Hopefully I get hired at Rick's, I'm only 105 lbs so I'm thin enough, lol. And the black-dancer problem doesn't really apply to me, clubs managers/customers don't view me as "black" (although they always have an outlandish guess of what my ethnicity is.) Here in Detroit there's a surplus of black dancers wanting to dance at the white clubs so it's become increasingly harder for them to get hired at the white clubs, but I've danced and still do dance at several of the white clubs in Detroit and my race has never been an issue (I am 3/8th black).

    Word of the wise:

I worked in 2 countries and 4 states as a club dancer, and did bachelor parties Indy and with an established agency....ricks in nola to date is the ONLY place I've ever went to that wouldn't hire me (they wouldn't even audition me!!)

They said it was because of my tattoos (I only have five...) and "darker/punk" look! I went to barely legal and banked. This was fall 2010.

Moral of the story: arrive looking fucking fantastic at Rick's. I was new and under prepared, not wearing flattering street clothes, etc. I'm sure with preparation on my part they would have hired me.

It must be a thing there or something, a friend of mine went there to audition and the door guy said, "You're not what I'm looking for" and I went on a different day and he said the same to me, without looking up. Perhaps it's some sort of hazing thing?

well this sounds awesome I have a sleeve of tats on one arm & some on my legs (which can be covered) and that was my main concern for coming to work in Nola in a couple weeks. also have long black hair which some would think i have a dark/goth like appearance. I was hoping to work at Barely Legal (as i did before in 07) i did great there, just scared of my tats keeping me from getting hired at some places. What are the fees, dance prices for Rick's Saloon or Rick's Cabaret???

    I think there's a recent Rick's thread, plus a few others too

Sorry I'm throwing this up here, just was thinking in case any girls want to share the place while I'm gone:

Hey ladies of SW, I have a great apt for short term rentals which is 2 min taxi/10 min safe walk to all the clubs and I have it open certain dates when I am not in town. Also if you are here & we get along, I rent out the mini-room which is super cozy for $50 a night. It is a great spot and I love living and dancing here but I am going to be traveling a lot the next few months, and gone for all of jazz fest! I would always like to help out fellow dancers before strangers. Anyway, here is the current listing, and if anyone is planning to come for the two weeks of jazz fest girls could totally share the space and have it for a couple weeks....just a thought. I'm so dumb! It is sitting empty for Mardi Gras while I go to NYC
