    Smiley First Month Update

Hey guys, I'm a newbie here and just started dancing a month and a half ago, and while this won't be impressive to most of you, it's still progress for me and I felt like posting it in here.

As per new girl schedule, I was only getting a couple of day shifts a week. Now, though, after showing up on time every shift and even covering other shifts that needed to be filled, I'm officially working full time and getting late day shifts, and hopefully by the end of the month would have scored some night shifts.

Now, the strip clubs I'm working at are not doing so great these days, especially in the days/afternoons. Even for the most tenured dancers, it's lucky to go home with more than $60 from a shift. So far this month, though, I've managed to average over $100 a day, and that's just the last 6 shifts I've been scheduled. Now that I'm getting better shifts, I assume this is going to increase, which is wonderful since my husband is currently unemployed and we are moving next month and really need the money.

My strength is also much better! I'm more in shape, less prone to bruising and sore knees, and have more energy than I did at first.

I'm also much more confident, and thanks to Hustle Hut and this forum my hustle is much better and I'm getting a lot more dances, which of course helps a lot, too.

Again, probably not impressive to most of you, but it's progress for me and I'm glad to have this place to post it. I'm going to reward myself with a cute new outfit on Saturday.

Thanks! I'm still feeling the newbie burn though with custies every so often. Like today; a guy bought 3 dances from me and was hanging out with me, and when I went back on stage he bought some dances from another dancer. No problem, except that he came back to me and was like "WOW. Now SHE can give a lap dance! Like...wow...you should learn from her so you can improve."

OUCH. I mean, still, I got money from him, but things like that still make me wonder what I'm doing wrong. :/ Any tips? Other than just learning as I go?

have you considered switching clubs? this club sounds crazy strict with really bad money. I've never worked with a club that put new girls through so much bs with so little average money. $60/shift is minimum wage...maybe even less depending on where you are and how long the shifts are.

Well your club does sound crazy strict with the schedule.
My club hired me to night shift straight away no problem (thank God)
As far as the asshole customers, it never stops, and there's nothing you can do except take as much of their money as possible.
If you can, don't tell guys you're new to dancing, it makes them think you're more vulnerable, and they'll be more likely to pick on you if they think you have insecurities. Tell them you danced for a year at xxxxx club in some other city. (Obviously, pick a real club and a real city.)

That's really good advice! I didn't tell him I was new, and I didn't think I came off as uncomfortable or anything, and he was having a really good time. And yeah, the club is really strict with shifts, they make new girls go through all day shifts, then if they show up and don't suck, they give them some mids, and eventually doubles and nights. Hopefully I'm not too far from nights!

I have looked at other clubs, and know dancers who work at different kinds of clubs in the area, and they all say the money is the same or worse for them, since no one seems to be going to clubs much because of the whole economy thing. I still might pick up some shifts at another club and see if it's better money, depending on if the money doesn't improve with the better shifts.

I'm in Portland and it is very normal to start girls off on mornings and have them work up to nights.

All the clubs with the real $$$ Usually make everyone wait, as the night slots are limited. (Less than 15 girls)

I am curious as to where you work. :3

I work at Lucky Devil and Devil's Point, and you're right, I hear these clubs are really good at night. They have special events throughout the week and stuff and a lot of regular clientele. Everyone is chill and awesome, and I really do like working here. I'm just biding my time until I get mostly mid/night shifts.

don't trust other girls. they aren't going to tell you where the gold mine is. I highly doubt that in a city with that many clubs the most you can possibly make is $100. don't blame the economy, trust me, people are still going to clubs and girls are still making a lot more than $100. you just need to find the club that works for you.

I've usually found that the best clubs for me aren't the popular ones or the ones that one would think would have the best money.

In my personal experience DP and LD are not good money. I hate to say that because I am friends with the owners... but you don't bank on the night shifts unless you're lucky. The vibe there is "hang out".
Now, there are some girls who have worked there for years and have built a clientele I guess. I don't know what they average. Some of the money in Portland is tied up in this weird popularity contest I'll never understand, and they play on that (using the internet and other venues to increase traffic to them).

The clubs I've made the most? Sassy's, Cabaret Downtown (before it was shut down), and Casa Diablo.

    For reference I've worked at:
Lucky Devil, Devils Point, Union Jacks, Rouge (downtown), Spyce, Sassy's, DV8, Rose City and Hawthorne Strip.
    *Edit, remembered more clubs.

Thanks for the input! I've heard some really bad things about Casa and some of the other clubs you've mentioned, but I was actually thinking of getting some shifts at Sassy's since it's the same owner as DP and LD. I'll definitely take a look!

The girls at LD, DP Sassy's and UnionJacks like to get all up in arms how "dirty" Casa is. A few years ago they did Dildo shows(no longer, probably where they got the reputation), and you have the option to do two way contact if you want with the customer, but there are strict rules about it. You may also get frisky with girls on stage as long as there is no penetration (of any kind) and you do not touch the customers. I don't make out with any other girls while I'm there... and keep to myself and can honestly say the money is EXCELLENT. Especially for Portland. I also don't participate in the two-way contact unless it's warranted, but it is always my choice.

I've seen girls at DP, LD and UJ's do the same amount of contact that girls at Casa do. The difference is that the dances at Casa are 40$ a song, as opposed to twenty. And the ATM dispenses 50s and not 20s, and guys hardly ever ask for change. So the math is skewed in your favor.
Sorry about the rant... I guess I should be glad the reputation keeps Casa from getting overloaded. In all my years of dancing I've never seen anything there that was dirty or shocking. Now Florida on the other hand....

I've been working at Sassy's a while. I still work the mids there from time to time because the regular lunch/dinner types are very nice, good tippers. And it's not hard to sell a lap dance during these hours either. The nights get really crowded and it can be very overwhelming for a newbie. You go on stage a lot which can be quite tiring on the weekends when you combine it with lap dances. I really love Sassy's and I have a lot of fond memories. My only regret is not leaving Union Jacks soon enough to work over there.

Oh, but everything you've heard about Cabaret is probably true. That place was scary. I saw girls nodding off on stage, a customer broke this underage girls finger once... I worked there nights for about two months and used the location to bring out of town big spenders to the VIP room at Union Jacks. The location of Cab was fucking perfect! If only the management were not so stupid. They had a cash cow and ruined it.

But that seems to happen all the time in this industry.
