So I suppose this can tie in with the phenomena of making more money on days when you don't do your hair or feel fat etc. But for some reason I have shitty nights when I am perky and happy and especially if I do something special for myself that day like a manicure. I feel fantastic, drive into work singing to my favorite songs and find customers are frequently not receptive to me. Now I am a naturally bubbly and a pleasant person, but if I have a day where I'm bummed out about something or dreading going into work, while I'm still polite I'm sure some of that blah feeling carries over into the club. And those nights I do hours in champagne. It's almost like if I'm too happy and bubbly I'm either not taken seriously, come off as immature, or insincere? Or maybe the champagne guys like to feel like they're making my night? I should note that when I've worked at more wanna dance type clubs acting bubbly and borderline silly works much better for me. Has anyone else experienced this? It seems so backwards, but I would love to know what's so appealing to customers about me seeming indifferent and blah and how to replicate this.
