    Default I want veneers!

Hi guys! I really want veneers but I am so afraid of the upkeep and the money it is going to cost me every 10 years, also I hear so many horror stories. Do any of you ladies have them and what can you share with me about your experience with veneers? I've read all of the past posts about veneers but I'd really love to hear some new posts.
My teeth have a nice shape but it keeps getting stained and I have to whiten them all the time because I am addicted to coffee and I love spaghetti sauce and stuff like that. I am sick of whitening them. I hear that porcelain veneers are pretty stain resistant.

I have them ... I love them ... and I'll worry about replacement when I am forced to.

I agree with Melonie. I'm on my second set in the past 13 years( just got them replaced a few weeks ago). I love them because I have poor dental genetics and was raised poor with poor dental hygene. I'm paying for it, literally, now. I did first top 6, then recently redid them after 13 years and added two more(one on each side of top teeth). I really miss biting into hard foods like carrots, apples, celery and am scared to bite into pizza, burgers, toast. I have a much btter smile tho than what I was born with. The cost is astronimical. I paid $12k for first set of 6 in NYC, 13years later I paid $10k for set of 8 here in Vegas. I hated my first set but dealt with them since they were still better than my natural teeth. I love my current set. Unfortunately, veneers will NEVER look completely like natural teeth so you're warned. I have an overbite which makes veneers look worse than they are. But I deal with the cards given to me now and remain happy with what I can get. Do your homework on cosmetic dentists if you do decide on veneers. Look into Lumineers if your teeth aren't damaged/fragile like mine were from calcium deposits. Lumineers are less invasive than veneers which permanently damage your natural teeth and make them weak. Veneers are a huge decision you must think about because its permanent. I would detailed post pics but they are too personal. You can see my old veneers on my intro video on my youtube channel

Unless it's absolutely necessary I wouldn't recommend. I've had 2 sets in the past 8 years. The 1st set was done in Manhattan (off 5th ave, next to NY Library). The fact that it was expensive didn't do me any good, considering what happened a few years later.

3 years later, in TX, I bit into an Arby's sandwich. Right after, I thought there was a dry piece of cheese on top of the bread, so I flicked it off. Immediately after, my tongue hit the area of the missing tooth. THE CHEESE turned out to be my broken off front tooth. I literally panicked until the dentist the next day.

The dentist did an xray and found my other teeth were cracked. Kind of like a windshield car crack. He said it would just be a matter of time before the others broke off. I had to have them all replaced. Unexpected $$$ down the drain. Expensive too. I was more than pissed off. Apparently the NY dentist did a shoddy job.
