Sad Are my agency's rate way too low?

Hi there, I am an escort in Canada. I have recently started, been in the business for one month...I work with an agency, but I feel as though the rates are way too low! I plan on going independent sometime in the future to bolster my business and raise my prices, but I wanted the opinions of other escorts.

For an hour it is $200, and I make $130 of that.
Half hour it is $140, and I make $90.

I pay 50 dollars every day to use the outcall location.

I feel as though the rates are low because of my area...but when I go independent, I plan on having my rates at $250 an hour and getting my own incall apartment.

What are your suggestions? Are these rates terribly low ?

It depends on the city your agency is located, a big city like Toronto the going rate for agencies is about $250, you would take home $150 in most agencies. If you are considering going independent you want to factor in your overhead cost.

Their rates aren't low it just depends on how busy they want to be and if they want to compete with the other agencies in the city around them

I think it just feels low because you don't take home all of it. Like minnie points out, going independent will give you added costs that you yourself will have to cover instead of the agency doing, so make sure to evaluate that when calculating your rate!

Sounds like you're in a smaller town. Splits are usually 60% to the woman, 40% to the agency in Toronto and Vancouver ($250/$150 take-home, $300/$180-200 take-home) so that seems about right to me in terms of splits (yours is 65% to you, 35% to the agency). Go indy, filter clients by price or move to increase rates.

I think the rates your asking are low, but there is also ladies who will do it for less. I think you should set the rate your most comfortable with and take it from there. If your not getting enough business then you can lower or offer special discounts to your regulars. Don't worry about what others are doing. Just make sure you provide the best experience you can and everything should be fine.

    Thanks
