Default The Nature Of Your Business

"We are contacting you because we have noticed a recent increase in your private payments activity. In order to keep approving your private payment, Payoneer's Payment Approval Department has asked that you provide information about the nature of your business, i.e. the business which is generating the payments to the Payoneer card.
We require this information in the context of our procedures for complying with regulations imposed by the United States government and by our bank.

Please advise what is the nature of the recent payments in general and in particular the payments from -----.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and thank you for your cooperation."

The 23rd was my birthday. And, obviously, the 25th was Christmas. I got a few tributes from my regular guys, which adds up to just over $1,500 on my Payoneer card in the past couple days. They won't approve any of my recent private loads until I answer this email.
Since they were gifts, can I just say that they're gifts? Or... should I say something like, the most recent payments were sent as gifts for my birthday (Dec. 23) and Christmas. Most private loads to my card are from my business of ..... media sales? lol I'm pretty sure Payoneer is cool with adult stuff though, right?

Or, well, I'd go for something a bit more eloquent than that. But... yeah. Not sure if anyone else has dealt with this? I don't want to say they're just gifts (WHICH THEY ARE) and have Payoneer be like oh well we won't approve them cuz you seem like the shady money-laundering type.

I am not positive but I went through a similar situation with my bank when trying to open a new savings account. Under employer I put independent contractor and they denied my account, stating that my answer was too vague. I called them and they said it has to do with money laundering laws, I'd have to say independed teacher, independednt lawyer, independent musician, etc. Again, I am not sure if Payoneer is as strict as my bank but I would think the more specific your answer the better off you'll be.

eek, that makes me nervous! I'd just say you're an independent contractor, honestly. If they press you, I'd go the online model route.

I normally just say independent contractor or self employed, but with financial institutions it seems like they are really cracking down on making sure sources of funding are legitimate so they want the specifics. I can only guuess that Payoneer is the same. MissEgo, have you tried messaging Nissim on here before giving Payoneer your official answer? He's usually very prompt and helpful.

I messaged him on Twitter over the past couple days (first when I noticed my first tribute payment hadn't been approved after a day and got worried, and then again this morning about the email) but I haven't heard from him at all!

I got my payment from ExtraLunchMoney today and it's been approved already...

I guess I'll just reply and say that I am an internet model and typically my payments are a result of my entertainment business, but that the payments waiting to be approved were sent as birthday and xmas gifts.

Hopefully they answer soon. :S I'm going to be sitting at my computer refreshing my email all day lol

This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside about not being able to view my card balance online. Ugh. Hope this gets sorted out for you soon and in your favor.

ETA: forget the balance thing it's working.

PM Nissim here on the forum. He's always been helpful to me. Phone support is awful and very unhelpful. Last time I called I got a woman who barely spoke english.

I don't use Private loads of my Payoneer card - I heard of other girls having similar problems with private loads and freezing cards. ATM problems. Payoneer is really only good for transferring money IMO.

That is a shitty situation bb. I hope you get it sorted out soon!!!

I second Hayden's and CourtneyRaine's advice. I just dealt with Nissim on the Payoneer Thread in Industry Insight and he was freaking awesome. He answered my n00b questions on Christmas Eve Day!

^Yup, posting in the Payoneer Industry Insight thread has always gotten me very prompt and clear answers to my questions. Their telephone support is kinda crappy, IMO, I wouldn't even bother calling them when Nissim is so much more helpful than the other people I've had to deal with when I called.

Nissim helped things along for me Support thanked me for my answer (and even wished me a happy birthday) and processed the first payment that hadn't been approved yet.
I'm limited to only processing two payments per day though.

Would you mind sharing what response they would like from us? Should we tell them "cam model" or something else if they question a load from a customer?

I replied saying I am an internet model, so typically all of my payments relate to my entertainment business (and gave my ELM payment from that day as an example). I also said that the reason for the increase in payments over the past few days was because it was my birthday, so I got five payments as gifts.

I think internet model was a good choice in terminology. I usually tell people I am an adult model, or something along those lines. My old excuse of being a webdesigner started failing me when I could no longer remember java and flash terms people would throw at me.

^ YES. I always went with web design (I know some html, can figure out basic stuff, so I used to say I worked FOR a web designer and she was teaching me!) but when some guys at my "vanilla" job asked me to make a site for them to generate ad income I was like uh uh uhhhh... and quit. lmao

So what happened Ergo in case this happens to me or anyone else in the future. Ur limited to two payments perday so that means all ur cam sites have to be loaded on different days? And what happens if u do go over two? I wanted to get into indie camming and process all my payments on my card. This is kinda crazy because Payoneer knows a lot of there customers are webcam models they should know and understand the nature of this buisness.

Got an email from Nissim this morning saying that the two payment per day is not for partner payments (meaning I can still get paid from all my cam sites on the same days); all of my pending payments have been approved, too.
If you're getting frequent private loads from guys, it shouldn't be a problem. I had my card maxed out though one day (you're limited to receiving $1000 in private loads in one day) and I think that was what started the suspicion on my account.
