Question Favorite root touch up color prod.?

So I usually go to Sally's, but since I had my highlights done, my base color was lightened, I want to just use a 'box' aka drugstore hair dye for now..that clairol one's not enough dye, the one w/the weird blue handle brush incl. Root Touchup or whatever it's called..

I am assuming a professional did your highlights? If so, matching can be a pain in the ass. Stylist use many combos to lift color. When a store brand is brought into play it can be sticky due to copper tones, greenish tones and the whole color can be ruined.
Please be careful, I went from hair down to my ass to weave down to my ass fucking with store brands for touch ups

Aww, so sorry that happened to you! True enough, the box colors do not have enough lift in them..I did have highlights done by a pro. However, my touch ups only do the outgrowth, never cover the already colored part.
I did find my 20 vol. developer from Sally's, so I just need to get a lighter color from there to mix w/it.

Ok, so talking to my hairdresser friend, & going on Sally's & Wella's sites, I decided I'm going to get Wella Color Charm, since they have one of the best selections of color choices. I think (I'm going to ask someone in Sally's, & do a color swatch match to verify) 8NW light natural warm blond w/lt brown base sounds like the right root/outgrowth touch up color for me

I have highlights and was touching up my base with a light brown hilift (I'm a natural level 4 or 4.5). I found the light ash brown my hair required would tint my bright highlights and ash color which made them look dull. I really prefer a good brown base but I can't do ashy highlights.

Now I'm using a wella hilift called "12A Frosty Ash". I only have to leave this on my roots for 10 minutes until it gets lifted to level akin to light brown or dark blonde. It is a bit more reddish, but it allows me to keep my highlights looking fresh and not muted and ashen.

It can be left on hair for I think 40 minutes. This stuff could make me a full blonde without bleach. Its a powerful dye.

I did my touch up w/Wella Color Charm, purchased from Sally's..outstanding product! They also give you more productI previously used Clairol professional dye, & it sucks! Their colors are VERY dark.
