Default Ever use "green screen" for vids?

For those who make vids of what ever type, ever use a green screen? It allows for some fun and additional creativity. My "studio" for doing green screen vids:

    Pic 1

    Pic 2

Green screen allows you to put essentially what ever you want behind you (pictures, vid, etc) while you are doing what you want in the foreground. You can also make parts of yourself disappear (if they are covered with the green material) and replaced with what ever you want, which can be a really cool visual effect. Use your imagination there. He/she who has fun/cool/interesting vids tends to get traffic....

    A fun one:

Amazing how far technology has come to make what was either expensive and or technically difficult so simple EVEN I can do it!

With some lights from Home Depot, green material gotten just about any place (fabric store, etc), and IMovie, and a cheap cam, one can do decent green screen stuff now.

    Try it!

Hey Will. Bringing this thread back because I am about to buy a green screen backdrop kit, and will be learning everything from scratch. The main thing I am having a hard time finding is where do you buy the backdrop images you will want to use? Any reputable sites or programs you know of?

Was surprised what little response this thread got. I guess most just not interested in being creative with their vids and standing out.

As far as back drop photos, what are you looking for? Many i use i took myself. You can find tons of photos or reasonable costs at places like bigstockphoto.com, and there's various free places on a google search.

I think using a green screen is amazing, the c4s videos with people using green screen sell sell sell. I would love to do it one day, but damn... I know nothing about editing.

No idea how I missed this the first time but green screen are a really cool thing. I haven't used them in awhile but it is cool to add things. Reminds me a lot of the mask technique in PhotoShop.

My character is a sensual Goddess, so depending on the outfit and theme everything from Gothic looking backgrounds to old school brothel settings(like lots of red velvet, chaise lounges etc) and some mystical looking backdrops for when I do hypno clips. Once I get the hang of it though, sky's the limit.

I have used stock photos for my websites, but which type would I buy for my green screen background?

Sex in the woods is a fantasy that turns me on, like back to nature, animalistic, etc.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

There's some really creative visual stuff you can do with the green screen if you're up to learning it and have the right software, etc. My use of green screen has been of the simple type, just pick back drop pic I want, and do vid. I got my green screen at a wholesale fabric store for cheap, so don't pay a bunch of $$$ for it. As long as it's the correct green (Chroma Key Green) it will work fine. You can even get large paper sheets of it from Walmart and connect them. Depends on how big you need it to be. You can see above linked pics of mine.

There's a biz I idea right there: Person pays for his personalized fantasy vid which includes backdrop without need for going into the woods, or a dungeon, or a space ship, etc.

I really want to use green screen on my BROADCAST...I've seen it done by one model on MFC so I know it CAN be done...but not sure how to do it. I've downloaded XSplit which I know is popular in the gaming community and figured it would cover my needs (it was a free download, so no loss if it doesn't work). I understand (mostly) how you'd do the green screen thing for a video or a photo, but I'm wanting to do it for LIVE broadcast in my room.....any ideas??? I'd like to get creative.

If you're recording for a later broadcast you can download a copy of Sony Vegas and checkout the chroma key tool. And don't wear green clothing! Live camming is another matter but I saw this link with a Mac and Window solution:

Something I'm thinking of doing too. Seems relatively easy, and can give you endless opportunities. I'd probably make some dumb video where I'm in space or some shit. LOL

LOL I'm totally with you there.

This seems like an awesome idea though. I don't think the laptop I have would be able to handle running an extra program in the back while broadcasting live but it would be a neat ass idea.

And the idea of the possibility of charging more on MFC to change the background sounds like a ton of fun.

You can run a Sponge Bob video in back of you for the 420 crowd. Let us know how it works out for you.

the variations are limited only by your imagination for the most part.

Thanks! I will check out that link. I was hoping to do it during a live broadcast...you know, stand in front of the green screen and have some other background going...??? Ugh, I'm totally clueless and have read so many things about it and watched so many videos and still have no idea. Just more questions!!
