So I've read that fiber from foods, both soluble and insoluble help flush out the digestive tract faster so that your body has less of a chance to absorb fat and high cholesterol from bad foods.
I was curious to know more about this, but also specifics.
Like, would one eat a bunch of fiber, say from veggies, before having an unhealthy meal. This would work to take up space but I'm wondering if eating veggies after the fattening meal can also help flush the bad stuff, and if so, how soon after eating the bad food would one have to eat a fiber rich meal?
Just curious. It's not a huge issue but since I'm already trying to eat a lot more fiber, but still allowing myself some cheat days, I was wondering how to improve how the fiber flushes out the junk to keep the junk from converting to fat.
