Default Table dances vs. Booth dances

Which do you prefer? I just came to Christie's Cabaret in Phoenix, AZ from working at Polekatz (upscale club, Scores-like but a little less strict) in Chicago, IL. I've worked at other clubs too in that area and I've NEVER done table dances. I've been dancing for over 3 years and we've always had a designated dance area in Chicago. All the clubs here in Phoenix- so far I've been to 4 (unless you take the customer into VIP for $20 dances)- are $10 topless on the floor. It's kind of awkward. What would some tips on getting the customer to go for the $20 VIP dance?

I hate table dances. They feel like a waste of time when they're half the price of a normal dance and I don't like dancin out front where other customers can ogle my tits for free. At my club, there is no contact in table dances and the private ones are nude, so it's quite an easy sell. No one ever asks for table dances because of it. What's different about the dances in Phoenix? If it's the same contact and nudity level, sell the privacy off the booth dances - no one is watching, you can get more intimate and cozy, etc.

    Thanks. It's all topless-only.

Do other dancers actually get topless during table dances? I do believe ours our technically nude, though very few dancers actually take off their panties for them. If you can swing it, make the table dances clothed to really push customers to the booths.

Also, contact levels? Offer the bare minimum in a table dance (heck, make it an air dance) and entice them to the booth with more contact. Again, keep an eye on what the other dancers are doing, but don't be afraid to do something different if it's allowed - if a customer wants dances from YOU, it doesn't matter as much what the other girls are doing.

I think your best bet will be to not even bother trying to hustle table dances, or just hustle them as a last resort. Don't mention them and if a customer does, make a big show of rolling your eyes and going on about how much more fun the booth dances are.. When you tell them it's time for a dance, take em right to the private booth and tell them it's $20 a song for a sexy private/intimate dance.

Gahhh I hate table dances too! It's new for me, I've never worked at clubs that have done them before the one I'm at now. We have $20 "table dances" but they can either be done table-side or on a couch area in the back (it's not private). The only private areas we offer are VIP 30 min/1 hr and champagne suites. It annoys me how many guys don't want to get their asses up and go to the couch for table dances, because all of the chairs in our club roll! I have yet to master the art of a lap dance in a rolling chair... Also I find without that intimate environment, it's harder for me to sell more than 1-3 LDs per customer because there are stages and TVs and waitresses and all kinds of distractions. :/

You really really need to make that point in your hustle. Get close to the customer (like touching noses or right by his ear) and tell him how much more private the VIP is, how much more intimate of an experience it is, how nice it is to not have any distractions and you all to himself, how much better the dance is when you don't have to worry about all this furniture and people walking around, etc., etc. Now, are the customers the ones asking for table dances or are you trying to sell both in the same hustle?

If it's the latter, drop it from your spiel. They don't ask for what they don't know about. The first is a bit trickier to navigate. Do what I said about anyway to really highlight how much of a better value VIP is to them - break it down by song even. If it's the same price to be in VIP for half an hour as it is to get lap dances for half an hour, that's an awesome selling point since it gives the customer more bang for their buck. If it ends up costing them a bit more, well "It's only X more dollars for us to get our own private getaway and really get intimate."

Oh no -- I ALWAYS start with VIP and CRs. I don't mention dances until after they know all about their other options and have declined. Usually these guys aren't the type to buy more then a couple of dances anyway, because 1/2 hour in VIP is only $200 so if they were going to spend money, they'd know by my sell that this is their best option.

I just loved having private dance booths in my old clubs because once you have a customer alone, keeping them is MUCH easier. So it was easier to bring a guy who "just wanted one dance" and turn it into more. My club just doesn't make any money off of table dances, so obviously they want an environment where girls are more inclined to sell VIPs and CRs.
