    Default Dental Hydroflosser...?

LOL. I don't know if anyone is even going to respond to this. BUT. I just found a "deal" for one of these and want to know if I should get it or not, as it's still rather expensive.

My teeth are super close together and even with thin wax floss, flossing is just a pain in the ass. Has anyone used a hydroflosser before, and does it actually work?

Here's to hoping someone around here is as weirdly anal about dental hygiene as I am...

Hmm, I haven't seen it yet, but am gonna look..I am obessed w/dental hygiene! Ok, I look at a couple models on Amazon, interesting. Have you ever tried those plastic pic thingies, not w/the floss, they are like skinny plastic tooth pics, with a kind of brush at one end. I have the areas where my wisdom teeth got pulled, & my 2 perm. bridges, they get in there.

No, they're dental toothpics not blue, white. When I say a brush on the end, I mean very tiny, could fit between teeth.

Picture 348.jpg This fits between my crowns, I have 6, 3 on each upper/back area, plus where my wisdoms got pulled, there's gum areas that trap plaque

I use a waterpik, and it's great. I have braces and really close teeth so it's hard to floss regularly and even with the threaders for flossing with braces I can't really get in between my teeth. (plus who has has the time for all that threading...) I've had the regular one and the travel one. The travel one does the job and it's worth it for your dental hygiene!

Such as waterpik? I use the waterpik with 1 part water, 1 part hydrogen peroxide, 1 part mouth wash, twice per day along with a Sonic Care tooth brush and regular tooth brush. My dentist loves me and the effort worth it as I don't like dentists, cavities (I have had exactly one in my entire life!) or dental work in general, hence my routine to avoid it.

Follow that routine, and your save $$$ on dentists and see a big drop in dental issues of all kinds.

Dumb question - but can someone explain to me what this actually does? It sounds like water comes out with pressure so that you clean between your teeth without floss?

Thanks for the replies. It seems like waterpik is the best brand, and it's actually cheaper than the one I was looking at. I'll probably pick one up from Walgreens next time I am there.

Actually the waterpik brand is clunky and noisy. For a few more $$$ I much prefer the Braun version.
