    Default Screening via texting

Sometimes i get bored with posts at backpage, the only way to make $$ in my town, so i post up a number for texting. i have a texting app on my ipod where i can post as my ''escort name''' so the guys never reallly know my real number. Anyway, ive been trying to get clients through texting but it seems SO hard to get a guy to go for screening once hes started to text me. out of lets say, 20 texts and clients, ive only gotten one that actually gave me his information. some guys are rude about it and act like its the worst thing in the world but honestly i'd never, EVER go with a client unless he was screened.

Whats the best way to go about screening clients via texting? there has to be a way to do it...

Cant say that there is.... To really think about it, older professional men (30+) arent really going to be texting...when you advertise that as the way for guys to book with you, you are targeting the younger crowd (25 and under) or older guys who are pretty socially inept, and more prone to giving issues with screening, are rude, more crass, etc. This may by why most ladies say no texts...to avoid that whole demographic.

I think its fine for a quick message once you already know someone, but at the first method of contact / way to book a date...youre pretty much appealing to a certain type of guy.

For initial contact I prefer email as I like having time to think about what to say. Then when the client's screened and has booked a meeting I share my number for calls and texts. Email's supposed to help weed out the non-serious and last minute people, but even then I still get one liner "are u avail now?" and "baby cum see me" messages at weird hours. A friend recommended that I post up my number. I might try that eventually, but I wonder if that'll bring in lots of spam calls and guys wanting phone s*x for free.

Yeah, I used to post my number, and ended up ripping it down from everywhere I could. I didnt get more bookings, just more annoying calls and texts, lots of you avail now? how much? youre hot! messages. I prefer email because at least that way, someone can write me a proper email with all the info I require, (screening info and references). If they write a nice intro and dont ask stupid quetions, Ill reply and ask for the booking info I need...otherwise, I jsut delete the one liners.

But I def get waaay less nonsense by email than I did by phone...and I hate talking to guys by phone first, cause they always want to chit chat, ask probing questions...all that stuff. Its a lot faster to delete an email than it is to get a guy off the phone. Of the guys who do take the time to email, more of the are serious about actually properly booking a date.

^^^^ That's what I was worried about! And yeah, the probing and asking questions that you've already answered on your site, ugh!

Indeed!!! The whats your rate? What times are you available? Where are you located?

Like, sometimes I go to my site just to make sure I didnt dream it up that I put that info on there But seriously, I do sometimes wonder if maybe I screwed up and update, and whole pages of my site is missing or something, because I have a page labeled "RATES" with very clearly written rates, I have a page called "AVAILABILITY" with the days and hours I work, and both on my Rates and Bio page, I have it where Im based, and where my incall / outcall regions are.

    Blows my mind!!!

I *just* got an email from a guy who wants to book an overnight, and said, so I looked at your rates page, and Id like to clarify, what do you mean by up to 12 hours? Like..something like that, I dont know how to reply without being condenscening. "By up to 12 hours, I mean our time together can last for up to 12 hours." like...WTF do I say? And hes not simple minded...he's a neurosurgeon! I swear, I think all blood drains from the brain and critical thinking ceases when they contact us. All of it!!

^LOL EVERY .SINGLE.EMAIL I got today were questions CLEARLY stated on my website in front of their face. in FACT I went back to my ad, and specifically put "before you ask ANY questions, refer to my website >>> HERE" LOL, I swear.

one had the balls to say, after I emailed him back pointing him to my website, to tell him what my website was again so he wouldn't have to look it up. :smh

I think they are doing it on purpose...to drive us crazy. I seriously think so.

I really hope it IS that, or we have some very DUMB people in our world..

For as many emails as I did get, I'm starting to think its the dumb..lol, they just couldn't possibly ALL be evil, assholes. I found *1* good client so far, on bp. I know it varies by city and other ladies have said they do really well, so its possible- but, yeesh the headache that comes with it =/

Im actually *really* blown away by the response Ive been getting on there. I have resisted BP for SOOOOO long cause I hear so many horror stories of dealing with guys like this, I mean, I have heard ladies say theyve gotten some of their best clients from BP, but when I look at it for my area, I see so many $80 specials that I couldnt imagine.

But Ive only been adv on there since last week, and have had 2 dates so far, another for this weekend, and an overnight for the weekend after. In *all* fairness though, Im advertising for an area closeby me, that has very few black women, and cause of the distance its a 2hr min. Im not even advertising on BP for my own area anymore...Idid for the frist few days but the stats were so much lower and no emails at all... and my area is expensive, $12 ugh, so for reposting everyday, forget about it. The other areas have been paying off though.

That's great - I haven't found the same response just yet but hoping that changes. I've tried other areas too. Btw , how do you pay for bp ads ? Which prepaids work and what do you put in the name / address section ?

Oooh I just got advise on this! I actually use my personal cards, and use a fake name / address...only thing that matches is my ph number and I use my work one.

For pre-paid cards, I was advised to use Bluebird, Vanilla Visa and Netspend. You still have to register the card with your info, but same thing, use a fake name and address.

The one card for sure *not* to use is Greendot, cause they will close down your acct for using it with BP. But you can still use moneypak to load funds onto your PayPal card (what Ive been using for everything) and with Netspend. Theres a Vanilla reload pak you can use with Bluebird or Vanilla Visa. You can also reload Bluebird with cash at Walmart.

Regarding Paypal, Im not sure I would suggest getting one and using it just for advertising, I think Im able to do it cause Ive had the acct for over 10yrs, and I use it for everything, so my spending is all over the place...and I alternate between my PayPal and bank cards...depending on which one I have money on lol

Thanks! Vanilla visa is at any reg drugstore? Bp accepts fake name / address when they don't match ?

I was recently advised not to use green dot as they're coming under fire for being used in drug deals and now being investigated so be careful with using green dot. Tanx for info !

Oh I dont know about the drug thing, but Greendot will close you down immediately if you use it for placing an ad, thats been going on for a couple years now.Blah right?

Yeah, the only thing that needs to match for a charge to go through is the zipcode....they dont match the name and address with whats on your CC statement. The way I figure it though, if for any reason records are seized, they dont have my real info on a handy dandy list...they'd have to do some investigating for that. Why make anyones job to find me easier right? lol

Cool, I hope he booked you for the full 12 hours? Apart from him not reading your site, that's awesome!

Thanks for this, Sharpie. I need to order credits on a couple client screening sites and don't want to use my real info. Wasn't sure how to do it until now. Do these cards ask for your social security # when you register online? A few people have told me to definitely avoid paypal for adult stuff, they'll shut down your account and you'll lose the money. At the very least, keep only a small amount in there. I wish there were an adult version of paypal, that company would make a killing!

Yup, they will all ask for SS info and such, I wouldnt suggest lying on that because that would cause you problems, only do it when you make the charge with the advertiser. Totally agree about PayPal, thats why I put in my disclaimer...since Ive used it for *so* long, and its my main card that I use for *everything* Im not too worried about it, but I think if someone is using it to run an adult business / accept payment...or they use it solely for advertising, then it would flag the system.

Im not sure about that overnight guy...lol! I havnt heard back from him, but the date isnt for til nex weekend, so will see what he says. He said he wants to do dinner and time together, so he would either go for my clockfree or the overnight...either or would work for me.

I've taken legit calls from gents via text message but honestly I much prefer phone calls. I have a chance get a feel of the guys demeanor by the tone of voice, I can tell of its his first time or if he is a jerk off. All clients off BP are the same (at least the legit ones) and they usually just discuss availability, duration of date and time of arrival. Nothing more or less, and anything outside that is grounds for termination of the call.

As far as text message, I take them based off how I simply feel at the moment. As soon as a guy agrees to a date I require them to call before I give out my location. If I get run-on texts with no real intention of making an appointment or request services I just ignore them. I personally dont enjoy emails (although I dont discriminate) because I'm not always net surfing and guys who want an appointment NOW usually dont wait around to get a email reply. I found the key to BP is TRUST YOUR GUT! I mean we are women, we have an intuition.

Yes intuition plays a big part... gotta stay in the shadows. gettin one of those visas this week. BP is actually decent in my area, only 3$/post but i also hear that cityvibe is the upcomming site for mongers & hobbyists so im trying that too.

"I swear, I think all blood drains from the brain and critical thinking ceases when they contact us. All of it!!" yes it DOES . gotta speak to them slowly and carefully, lol.

That overnight guy sent me his thoughts for the evening..I always ask and thnak goodness. He wanted to get together with two friends to hit up a strip club, then we privately go back to his hotel. In a much nicer way, I told him oh hell no. No to meeting with friends and no to strip clubs.. I told him he should probably find another lady instead...he got back to me and was all no no no Im sorry! Said he would be more than happy to spend our time alone and just the two of us go out for dinner instead. Jeez though.

But I have to say, this is the 2nd time in a row Ive done that, and I think its actually securing dates. Yesterday, the guy was being annoying, kept calling instead of replying to my email and being a general pain with setting a time to meet...so I told him he should maybe try to set up a date with someone else. Immediately he apologized, replied to my emails promptly let me know the time and was all grateful that I accepted meeting him.

I think it kind of freaks them out to realize Im willing to pass off their business and money, and it makes them want to see me even more. I might start telling everyone to fuck off...I might get flooded No I wont do that...lol
