Default Blocked Pores on Chin area

Anybody else have this? I'm very lucky with my skin generally, no spots or acne or anything BUT on my chin, I get lumps under the skin. You can't notice until you're very close up, but under the skin are lumps and if I squeeze the flesh white stuff comes out (pus?) but very hard-not like whiteheads or spots.

I don't know what causes it or how to get rid of it-they're flesh coloured so nobody notices them but me, but the skin has a slightly lumpy appearance because theres' stuff trapped underneath it.
A friend of mine said it could be because even though I cleanse often, I might touch my chin more than I touch the rest of my face, i.e rest my chin on my hands, touch my mouth area at work etc, which is very possible.
I have a habit of squeezing at them which is bad as I now have slight scarring there and fingernail marks!
Anybody else get this? Or any ideas on how to prevent/cure it?

    Thanks!

Yeah definitely don't poke at it, but you know that..have you tried a scrub? Or steaming? I used Redermic by LaRoche/Posay, it's a retinol, also they have vitamin C. It for anti aging, but also works to clear pores. I don't have your skin situation, but I do find it works on clogged pores/blackhead on nose.

You probably rest your chin on your hand all the time like me! I get these too. I find that washing my hands obsessively and being really mindful about not resting my chin on them helps.

It could be milia which can be caused from over exfoliation. Do the cleansers you use have scrubby beads in them?

I DO know that, but ugh it's so freakin' tempting!Especially when I see a new one has formed. I'm checking out retinols for angi-aging anyway....But thanks especially for the steaming suggestion-I did that last night and I haven't had a proper look today but my skin feels a lot better generally!

Yes, I do that especially when camming.

Could be-I have been using a facial scrub, a tea tree one, not a known brand-that I got in a gift set a few months ago...I also have had issues since I started having threading, could that cause this? I know it caused a few minor scars, and when the hairs on my face grew back (I'm naturally very fair so they were almost unnoticeable anyway before) there were some dark ones!So I stopped lol

Sounds like it may be cystic if it's that far under your skin -- which can be caused by hormones. Do they happen more often around your period?

Also, for the times when you've been a bad girl and tried to pop your pimples...

^This will eliminate scarring literally overnight. Use it sparingly as a spot treatment over scars though, as it's oily and can clog nearby pores. It is also the best lip balm in the world. THE WORLD.

I've been struggling off and on with acne around my chin for the last year, and it's so frustrating because I never even got pimples as a teenager. I know mine is hormonal! This stuff:

Is a great spot treatment that dries up even cystic ones. It's got 3 active ingredients, salicylic acid which is the antibacterial in almost every other spot treatment, plus sulfur and resorcinol which both work to dry up/slough off the dead layer of skin on top.

    Both are under $10.

Steaming is actually pretty awful for your skin. At most, use a warm cloth on your face.

i heard that if you wear chapstick at night before you go to bed your body heat can make it melt and it gets on your chin and clogs your pores. this happens to me since my lips are always super dry. might be something to think about.

    Maybe use an acid peel?
I don't know because it exfoliates but maybe it'd be gentler?

I wouldn't think it'd be cystic because doesn't cystic acne tend to be really deep and painful?

Rather than popping with the tips of your fingers, use your index finger knuckles, or wrap your fingers in clean towel, paper towel etc to protect your skin from bruising/cutting.

I also have recently discovered skin clarifying concealer, Hard Candy makes one in stick form which is sold at WalMart. It's the concealer stick on one end and an anti-microbial brush on the other end. Handy dandy! And it smells like tattoo, which is a different smell but by no means unpleasant.

Yes threading it could possibly. Also too heavy of products or over exposure to sun. stop using the scrub. If it is tiny and not sore(look up pictures of millia, should look like tiny white heads under the skin) it is definitely not cystic. You can get rid of them by going to the dermatologist to extract them. Or you can extract them yourself if you are sure they are millia. You can google how. Also steaming is not bad for your skin.

Once a month, done by a professional, with no inflammation? Sure, steaming might be okay, if for no other reason than it feels like it's doing something good--people like to use the "drawing impurities to the surface" line. But for most people in most situations, steaming is not the best option, especially if it's a DIY situation. It often results in drying of the skin and broken capillaries, as well as increased inflammation in acne-prone skin. It's a hand-me-down practice that wouldn't benefit the majority of people who recommend it. For example, OP already has scarring. Maybe a pro would want to steam her chin to help with extraction, but I wouldn't recommend her to do it herself, as she could easily get it too hot, inflame the area, then further scar it with frustrated attempts at extraction.
